Two of the five SuperStation One Transparent Collection colours were reported sold out shortly after preorders opened on October 7, 2026—but that is a stock snapshot, not a measure of units sold or total demand. The package keeps a roughly $249 price while including 16 GB of microSD storage, down from the 64 GB supplied with Batch 5, and omitting built-in Wi-Fi/Bluetooth and an NFC reader.
What changed in the Transparent Collection?
The main differences documented against Batch 5 are bundled storage, built-in connectivity, price as displayed by the cited sources, and the shell and packaging. Notebookcheck described the change from 64 GB to 16 GB as a 75% reduction in bundled capacity; that comparison concerns the included card, not the console’s maximum supported storage. Notebookcheck reported the comparison in 2026.
| Comparison | Transparent Collection | Batch 5 |
|---|---|---|
| Included storage | Preinstalled 16 GB microSD card, according to Retro Remake’s product listing. | 64 GB included, according to Notebookcheck. |
| Built-in Wi-Fi/Bluetooth and NFC | Retro Remake says there is no built-in Wi-Fi/BT or NFC reader; it lists external adapters as available. | Not stated in the cited sources. |
| Displayed price | $249 on Retro Remake’s product listing; Time Extension displayed $249.99 / £189 before shipping or possible customs. | Not stated in the cited sources. |
| Shell and packaging | Transparent Collection shell; the official listing specifies NTSC-J Launch Edition packaging. | Not stated in the cited sources. |
The differing price displays belong to different sources and currencies, so they should not be read as a precise like-for-like price comparison. Shipping and potential customs costs can also affect the amount a buyer pays.
Does it include Wi-Fi or Bluetooth?
No built-in Wi-Fi or Bluetooth is listed for this unit. Retro Remake’s product page says: “This unit does not include built-in WiFi/BT or an NFC reader. External adapters are available.” The listing points to external Wi-Fi/BT and NFC options, but it does not establish that one adapter restores every wireless feature.

- A perfect console for fans with a lot of taste and for a new generation wanting to experience the dawn of PlayStation for the first time. Playstation Classic design

- The USB AC adapter is not included or sold separately. You can use your own USB AC adapter for smart devices, the required specification is 5V/1.0 amp/5W or higher.
How much storage comes with it?
The box includes a preinstalled 16 GB microSD card. That is 48 GB less than Batch 5’s bundled 64 GB card, or a 75% reduction in included capacity according to Notebookcheck’s 2026 comparison. Neither figure establishes the console’s maximum supported card size or required card speed; those compatibility details are not stated in the cited product information.
The listed package also includes the console, a fan, HDMI cable, USB-C cable, and NTSC-J Launch Edition packaging. A separate HDMI cable is therefore only a spare or replacement purchase, not a listed requirement.

Which colours were reported sold out?
In its October 2026 preorder coverage, Time Extension reported Smoke and Watermelon sold out, while Emerald, Frost, and Atomic Purple remained available when it checked. Notebookcheck likewise reported that two of five colours had sold out. These are dated reports, not current inventory information: the official product page showed an out-of-stock/sold-out state when accessed, and its per-colour inventory was not dependable in that capture.
A sold-out colour does not reveal how many consoles were made, how many units sold, or why buyers chose those colours. No independent sales or production total is established by the cited reports.

What is the SuperStation One?
Retro Remake describes the SuperStation One as a PS1-inspired FPGA console supporting PS1 games, original controllers and memory cards, and MiSTer FPGA cores. A broader platform overview from POCG describes Intel Cyclone V hardware and an optional SuperDock expansion. SuperDock features described in that overview include a tray-loading DVD-RW drive, an internal NVMe M.2 slot, extra USB ports, SNAC bypass, debug/PC modes, and an infrared remote receiver; it is an expansion, not a confirmed item in the Transparent Collection preorder box.
What did the preorder listing say about ordering and shipping?
Retro Remake’s product listing showed a $249 price, a one-unit order limit, and December shipping. These are the terms shown in that listing, not a guarantee of current availability or delivery timing. Time Extension’s separate display of $249.99 / £189 was before shipping or possible customs.
