When did Survival: Fountain of Youth come out?
The PC version launched on Steam on May 21, 2024; Steam lists April 19, 2023 as the start of its Early Access period. The console launch followed on October 8, 2024. The game’s publisher lists Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series as platforms.

The game’s official console announcement said: “We’re proud to announce that Survival: Fountain of Youth is coming to consoles, and we are thrilled to finally share the official release date: October 8th!” That date is now in the past. Read the official console announcement.
What is Survival: Fountain of Youth?
Developed by Odinsoft and published by Twin Sails Interactive and CE-Asia, Survival: Fountain of Youth is a single-player, open-world survival adventure. You play a member of Juan Ponce de León’s expedition, shipwrecked in the Caribbean. You must stay alive, search for missing crewmates, and pursue the legendary Fountain of Youth.

How does the survival gameplay work?
Survival means balancing hunger, thirst, energy, and exposure to changing weather while exploring. Illness, injuries, exhaustion, and dangerous animals add further risks. You gather resources, craft tools, cook, hunt, build shelters and bases, and explore by boat; these activities compete for the time and energy available during each in-game day.
The island count varies between the game’s official descriptions: the publisher says players can visit more than 15 unique islands, while the Steam description refers to 11 islands in the Bimini archipelago. Both describe the Caribbean setting, so “Caribbean islands” is the clearest general description without choosing between the differing counts.
Is it available on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S?
Yes. The game is available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series, as well as PC via Steam. The PS5 store page gives October 8, 2024 as the release date. The console announcement said the Captain’s Edition would include the PC version’s content, the Sea Wolf Pack DLC, and the Supporter Pack. Its stated €/$29.99 base price was an announcement-era price, not a current price.

The PlayStation store page lists English voice acting and screen languages including Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), English, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish. It also says subtitles cover the main story and main characters, and offers an alternative preset difficulty.
Does Survival: Fountain of Youth have co-op?
The released game is listed as single-player on Steam. The developer separately announced a multiplayer mode for up to four players, initially planned for 2026. A later developer diary discussed progress and a planned Steam playtest, but the official pages cited here do not confirm that multiplayer has shipped. Treat co-op availability as unconfirmed unless a newer release announcement says otherwise.
