To unlock Speed Surfer, complete the full adventure in under two hours. The most forgiving approach recommended by PowerPyx is to finish the story first, then make a focused New Game+ run with movement abilities already unlocked. Prioritize water points needed for story progress and skip optional detours.
Speed Surfer trophy requirements
The achievement condition is “Complete the adventure in under 2 hours.” Steam and TrueTrophies list the same requirement: Steam’s Speed Surfer achievement page and TrueTrophies’ trophy listing.
PowerPyx estimates a focused run may take about 60–90 minutes, leaving a margin beneath the limit. That is the guide author’s estimate, not a guaranteed completion time or an independently verified run. See the PowerPyx trophy guide and roadmap.
Recommended route: prepare, then run New Game+
Finish the adventure and unlock abilities first
PowerPyx recommends completing the first playthrough and collecting items before attempting the speedrun in New Game+. The intended advantage is that movement abilities are already unlocked, making traversal less restrictive.

Follow story progression and avoid detours
During the attempt, prioritize the water points required to advance the story. Avoid optional exploration and collectible detours unless you need them for progress. The guide’s 60–90 minute estimate applies to a focused run; it should not be treated as a promised time for every player.
Can chapter select unlock Speed Surfer?
Chapter select becomes available after finishing the story, according to PowerPyx, but that does not establish that replaying only the last chapter satisfies a condition requiring completion of the adventure. Steam, TrueTrophies and the guide confirm the under-two-hour condition, but the reviewed listings do not clarify timer start or pause rules, or whether chapter replay counts as a qualifying full run. For the clearest attempt, use New Game+ for a complete adventure rather than relying on a final-chapter replay.

Combining the run with the high-score trophy
PowerPyx’s roadmap describes a 2× completion-score bonus for finishing in under two hours and suggests it may help toward the separate game-wide high-score trophy. This is guide advice, not an independently verified mechanic here. If you pursue both goals in one attempt, account for any score farming you plan to do while keeping the speedrun deadline in view.
