Do you need to play the first Tails of Iron?
The official premise gives Whiskers of Winter a clear central character and conflict: Arlo, the northern Ratdom, the Dark Wings, and the work of hunting beasts and uniting clans. CBR’s excerpt on Steam explicitly calls it a must-play even for people who did not play the first game.
