TCL’s US product page lists the 98-inch QM8L, model 98QM8L, at $2,999.99 against a displayed comparison price of $5,999.99—a $3,000 reduction, or about 50%. That is TCL’s current displayed price, not confirmation of an Amazon Prime Day offer: the available sources do not establish Amazon’s price, stock, delivery, or installation terms.
What the current price does—and does not—confirm
TCL’s product page shows $2,999.99 versus $5,999.99. The difference is $3,000, which is approximately half the displayed comparison price. TCL’s corrected October 6, 2026 promotion release also lists the 98-inch QM8L at $2,999.99 and says prices may change.
The earlier Prime Day offer was different: TCL’s June 23, 2026 announcement listed the television at $4,499.99 for a promotion running June 23–26. That historical price should not be confused with the October promotion. The sources establish TCL’s promotion messaging, but do not verify an Amazon listing or October Prime Day event dates. Check the retailer’s live listing for its actual price, availability, shipping, and installation details before buying.

- Refresh rate: TCL lists a 144Hz panel.
- HDR formats: Dolby Vision IQ, HDR10, HDR10+ and HLG.

The dimming-zone and brightness figures are manufacturer-stated maxima, not independent measurements. TCL also claims 100% BT.2020 color and qualifies that as a typical achievement that can vary with testing environment, standards, equipment and production variation. Treat these as TCL’s published claims rather than independently verified results. The cited specifications do not establish particular gaming-port capabilities, so check the model’s spec sheet if a specific console connection or feature matters to you.
What to check before ordering a 98-inch TV
A screen this large makes delivery and installation part of the purchase decision. Confirm the exact 98QM8L listing, price, stock status, delivery area and any installation terms with the seller. Measure the intended room and route to the installation location, including doorways and stairs, and verify that your stand or wall mount is rated for the TV’s weight. TCL lists a 600 × 500 VESA pattern; that pattern alone does not confirm that a particular mount is suitable.
