Reservations in the cited Metacritic excerpts center on what surrounds the fights. Wccftech described the mode selection as “slightly slim,” and Meristation said the game “is not the best entry in the series and lacks some single-player content.” Those are individual publications’ assessments, not a claim that every review raised the same issue. The two PS4 review counts differ because they come from separate sections of Metacritic’s page. Scores and review totals can change, so the platform and page context matter when quoting them. The same page displays a user score of 6.7 from 1,101 ratings; that is separate from the critic aggregate and may also change. Metacritic
How should you read the reviews?
- For the combat: The clearest positive signal is the core fighting system and the breadth of the cast, including in GameSpot’s 8/10 assessment.
- For modes and solo play: The cited reservations are about limited mode selection and missing single-player content, so readers prioritizing a substantial solo package should weigh those criticisms.
- For a platform-specific score: Keep platform, critic count, and score together. Metacritic’s PS4-page count is not the same as its all-platform summary count.
- For player sentiment: Do not treat user ratings as an extension of critic reviews. Steam presents user-review information separately as well.

- The Season Pass was described as comprising three content packs.
- The Digital Deluxe Edition included the game and Season Pass.
Steam’s current PC listing identifies BANDAI NAMCO Studios Inc. as developer and BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment as publisher, and lists multiple editions and DLC. Neither the historical announcement nor the listing establishes that a particular console edition remains available now.
