TEKKEN 8 Ver.1.04.00 released on 8 May 2024. The update added shop items, adjusted selected character moves, improved online and replay features, and fixed customization issues. It also made pre-update downloaded and My Replay & Tips footage unplayable and deleted older Online Replay records. Version 1.04 is historical: Bandai Namco’s update history listed v3.02.02, released 10 September 2026, as the latest version on 8 October 2026.
When did TEKKEN 8 update 1.04 release?
Bandai Namco Europe announced Ver.1.04.00 on 30 April 2024 and scheduled its rollout for approximately 2:00 UTC on 8 May 2024. The publisher’s update history records the release on 8 May. Server maintenance was scheduled from 1:30 to 7:00 UTC, during which online content was unavailable. The update applied to TEKKEN 8 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. What changed in update 1.04?
Shop additions
- “NINJA Pack” and “SHINOBI Pack” costume packs for all playable characters.
- A legacy costume for Lili.
- One free avatar customization item.
Online play and replay improvements
- Optimized packet transmission, reception, and rollback processing during online matches.
- Improved detection logic for processing delay, shown by the red icon at the lower right of the screen.
- My Replay & Tips playback gained the ability to skip entrance and victory animations.
- Exciting Replay loading times were optimized.
- PLAY STATS item parameter names were made clearer.
Customization fixes and other improvements
The patch fixed a Character Customization issue that prevented Reina’s Kijin Face Guard and Surgical Mask from being equipped at the same time. It also corrected an unintended upper-body skin color issue and included other miscellaneous improvements and bug fixes. The official announcement lists these changes.
Which characters received balance changes?
Bandai Namco said the update changed the behavior or properties of selected moves. Its official adjustment history has sections for COMMON and for Alisa, Asuka, Azucena, Bryan, Claudio, Devil Jin, Dragunov, Eddy, Feng, Hwoarang, Jack-8, Jin, Jun, Kazuya, King, Kuma, Panda, Lars, Law, Lee, Leo, Leroy, Lili, Paul, Raven, Reina, Shaheen, Steve, Xiaoyu, Yoshimitsu, and Zafina. The preceding v1.03.01 announcement described the intended direction as primarily buffing characters whose distinctiveness was not fully showing, while also adjusting some significantly strong moves. That was a statement of direction, not a move-by-move summary.

- Arcade Quest - In the new single-player mode ‘Arcade Quest’, players can create their own avatar and conquer their rivals in a variety of different arcades. This mode serves as an introduction to the gameplay of TEKKEN 8, allowing players to acquire basic knowledge, learn practical techniques, and enjoy a unique storyline and battles different from regular matches. .
For exact changes, consult the official battle adjustment history. Its character entries are presented as charts; do not infer specific move, damage, or frame changes from the broad patch announcement. The history defines one frame as 1/60 of a second and frame advantage as the difference in when each player can move again.
What happened to old replays?
Pre-update DOWNLOADED REPLAYS and MY REPLAY & TIPS data could no longer be played after the update. Pre-update ONLINE REPLAY data was deleted. These older records were not preserved as playable replays. In SUPER GHOST BATTLE and GHOST MATCH, character behavior and move properties reflected the updated game state. No. Version 1.04 is a historical update from May 2024. As of 8 October 2026, Bandai Namco’s official update history listed v3.02.02, released 10 September 2026, as the latest version. For current balance or compatibility information, use the notes for the version you have installed.
