If Terminull Brigade is crashing on your Steam Deck, update SteamOS and the game, restart the Deck, and temporarily close third-party apps installed through Desktop Mode. Then check the game’s current Deck compatibility details. If it still crashes, test a specific Proton compatibility tool and lower graphics settings one at a time. These are general Steam troubleshooting steps—not confirmed Terminull Brigade-specific fixes.
First, identify what “crashing” means
Before changing settings, note whether Terminull Brigade closes and returns you to the Steam library, freezes the screen, or causes the entire Deck to restart. Also record when it happens: at startup, during login, after entering a match, or in a particular scene. A game closing is not the same symptom as a system-wide freeze or reboot, and the available evidence does not establish a single cause for either.
- Write down whether the failure happens before login or after you enter an online session. The game requires a Level Infinite Pass account and online co-op, but those requirements alone do not show that a network issue is responsible. Steam’s store listing describes the account requirement.
- Record your Deck model (LCD or OLED), SteamOS version, game version, and the exact point of failure. These details are useful if you need to contact support; they do not diagnose the problem by themselves.
Work through these reversible troubleshooting steps
1. Update SteamOS and the game, then restart

2. Temporarily close third-party Desktop Mode apps
Exit or disable third-party applications you installed through Desktop Mode, then retest. If the crash stops, re-enable those apps individually to see whether one coincides with the problem. This isolates a possible software interaction; it does not establish that a particular app is at fault.

3. Check the current compatibility details
Open the game’s Steam store page or library entry and review its current Steam Deck compatibility information. Valve’s labels indicate different levels of support: Verified means it works well by default; Playable may need manual adjustments; Unsupported means it is currently not functional; and Unknown means Valve has not tested it. The rating criteria include input, display, seamlessness, and Proton or middleware support. 4. Test a Proton compatibility tool
- In the Steam Library, select Terminull Brigade and open Properties.
- Open Compatibility, enable the option to force a specific Steam Play compatibility tool, and select a Proton version to test. Steam’s general guidance is to try the latest Proton version.
- Launch the game and check whether the same failure occurs. Change only one compatibility setting at a time so you can tell what changed.

5. Lower graphics settings
Try a lower graphics preset or reduce individual graphics settings, then repeat the same test. Valve recommends lower settings as a possible step for app stability or performance problems. Treat the result as a diagnostic test—not proof that graphics load caused the crash.
What the game’s listing and updates do—and do not—tell you
Terminull Brigade is a free-to-play co-op hero shooter developed by Pew Pew Games and published by Level Infinite. Its Steam listing gives a release date of July 29, 2025, and specifies Windows requirements: Windows 10 64-bit, a Core i5-7500 or Ryzen 5 1400 minimum processor, 16 GB RAM, a GTX 1650 or RX 580 minimum graphics card, DirectX 11, broadband internet, and 24 GB of storage. The listing also identifies Anti-Cheat Expert as kernel-level anti-cheat. The game’s official Steam Community archive includes general crash-fix notes. An August 1, 2025 announcement says crashes related to certain graphics cards were fixed, and a later general note refers to several game-crashing bugs. If the game still crashes after updates, a restart, temporarily closing third-party apps, and a small number of reversible Proton or graphics tests, contact Steam Support. Include your Deck model, SteamOS and game versions, when the crash occurs, and whether only the game closes or the whole device freezes or restarts. Valve also points users with persistent stability issues to the Steam Deck beta channel and SteamOS or Steam Deck discussions; using a beta channel is optional, not a required fix.
