Terra Memoria is a 2024 adventure RPG from La Moutarde that mixes exploration, combat, environmental puzzles, and village construction in a world combining 3D spaces with pixel-art styling. Its official listings confirm versions for PC, Nintendo Switch, and PS5. Storefront ratings are positive in the snapshots reviewed, though they come from separate platforms and are not a substitute for a critic consensus or hands-on assessment.
What kind of game is Terra Memoria?
Terra Memoria is an adventure RPG, not just a building game. Its official activity mix includes exploring, fighting, solving puzzles, and constructing buildings and decorations. Steam also uses the player-defined tag “Turn-Based Combat”; that tag is not an official genre specification.
The story follows six friends investigating a shortage of magical crystals and the awakening of ancient robots. The publisher describes Terra as a cozy, fantastical world that blends 3D and pixel art. Steam’s description adds a construction tool for changing the environment, solving puzzles, and building a village, alongside a journey to discover who controls the crystals and why machines are attacking.
What do the storefront ratings say?
Ratings are encouraging on the storefront snapshots accessed October 8, 2026, but each reflects a different platform and rating system:
#1 Best Overall
- Discover a cute little RPG and its world that combines 3D and pixel art, as well as its authentic music crafted with love.
- What’s important is the journey! Take your time, take every path, and befriend eccentric citizens (why are they so weird?).
- Use a unique construction tool to change the world and solve puzzles. Buildings and decorations – craft everything and construct a village!
- A local recipe, the mayor’s portrait, or a real false treasure map? Every piece of information is good to add to this participatory publication.
| Storefront | Snapshot rating | How to read it |
|---|---|---|
| Steam | 85% positive from 372 all-time reviews; labeled “Very Positive” | Steam user reviews as of October 8, 2026. |
| Steam, recent reviews | 91% positive from 12 reviews in the preceding 30 days | A small recent sample, not broad consensus. |
| PlayStation Store | 4.38 out of 5 from 227 ratings | PlayStation Store user ratings as of October 8, 2026. |
Steam’s percentage and PlayStation’s star score are separate systems with different user populations, so they should not be compared as though they were one aggregate score. Counts and ratings can change. Check Steam’s current review page and the PlayStation Store listing for live figures.
Which platforms and languages are available?
Official listings reviewed confirm a Steam PC version, a digital Nintendo Switch version, and a PS5 listing. Store publishers vary: Steam names Dear Villagers, while Nintendo’s US listing names Plug In Digital. Nintendo says the Switch software is compatible with Nintendo Switch 2, with behavior consistent with Switch; that is not a separate Switch 2 edition claim.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Is Terra Memoria a good fit for your tastes?
The official feature mix makes it a plausible fit if you want an RPG that alternates between exploration, puzzles, combat, and light construction rather than focusing on only one of those activities. The cozy tone and mixed 3D/pixel-art presentation are central parts of its pitch. The available official material does not establish how deep construction is, how combat feels in practice, or how it compares in quality with other RPGs; storefront ratings alone cannot answer those questions.

- Nintendo Switch 2 uses a new standard of expandable memory card called microSD Express (sold separately). This kind of memory card is needed for faster access speeds and to ensure games will run smoothly.
- Please note: Nintendo Switch 2 is only compatible with microSD Express cards. If the microSD cards you have used for Nintendo Switch do not support microSD Express standards, you cannot use them with Nintendo Switch 2.
Terra Memoria was released March 27, 2024. Its official pages describe digital storefront versions, and Steam separately lists downloadable soundtrack and artbook extras; the reviewed evidence does not establish physical editions.
