Super Mario 3D World has 380 Green Stars and 85 Stamps to collect. This guide covers the Super Mario 3D World adventure in Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury for Nintendo Switch; Bowser’s Fury is a separate adventure with Cat Shines, not part of these totals. The final five Stamps are character-specific: earn them by clearing every level once as Mario, Luigi, Peach, Toad, and Rosalina. You do not need to replay every level with all five characters to collect the ordinary course Stars and Stamps.

How the Green Star and Stamp totals work
The 380 Green Stars are spread across regular courses and special stages. Ordinary courses generally have three Stars; Captain Toad Adventures have five each, Enemy Battles have one each, and Mystery Houses award a Star for each short room challenge, according to Nintendo Wire’s 2021 guide. Stamps are found in courses, with the final five tied to character clears.
Some stages have an access condition, such as collecting a required number of Stars to open a later course. That is different from fully completing the game’s collectible challenge. World Crown is reported to unlock after collecting 342 Green Stars, every Stamp, and a Golden Flag on every stage; that threshold is not the full total of 380 Stars. Pickup clues for early courses
World 1-1: Super Bell Hill
- For the first Green Star, take the upward-facing clear pipe.
- After the checkpoint, chase down the rabbit for the second Star.
- Enter the cliffside pipe to reach the Stamp.
- Use a Mega Mushroom to break the large brick blocks and uncover the third Star.
World 1-3: Mount Beanpole
- Climb the tree at the start of the course to reach the first Star.
- Trigger the hidden pipe, then collect the blue coins for the second Star.
- Raise the Cat Wheel statue to access the cloud path and the third Star.
Character-specific Stamps and abilities
Nintendo lists Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Toad as the initial character choices, with Rosalina becoming available later. Each character has a unique play feel: Luigi jumps extra high, while Peach can float briefly. These abilities can help with movement in courses, but the final five character Stamps have a different requirement: clear every level once with each of the five characters. Nintendo’s official product page confirms the roster and describes using collected Stamps in Snapshot Mode in both adventures.
