To complete it, take Lieutenant Anton Tolliver’s contract, recover the Semuta Trade Logs from the Kirab den, deliver them to Tolliver, neutralize Maxim Kazmir, and report back. The journey also temporarily prevents faction defection while it is active.
What is the Test of Loyalty?
It is an Atreides journey objective tied to the contract against Harkonnen recruiter Levenbrech Maxim Kazmir. The journey and its linked contract are separate entries, with separate listed rewards: the journey grants 100 XP, while the contract grants 700 XP, 1,200 Solari, and 50 House Atreides standing. These values are listed by the third-party Dune Database for version 1.5.3.6, last updated October 6, 2026: Dune Database.

The journey entry says you cannot defect from your faction while the journey is active. That restriction applies while it remains active; the entry does not establish a permanent lock after completion.
Where to find the Kirab Semuta den and trade logs
The den associated with the contract is Testing Station 13 in Western Vermillius Gap. The location listing places the Semuta Trade Logs in the final loot room, beyond a pentashield that requires a purple ID band. The location comes from the community wiki’s Testing Station 13 page.

One older walkthrough result describes finding a green band down the stairs and along the right-hand hallway, then a purple band in the opposite hallway. It places the logs in a chest on a rug in the circular room beyond the shield. Because that June 2025 walkthrough could not be independently verified against the current layout, treat those room-by-room directions as a guide rather than a guaranteed route.
How to complete the contract
- Take the contract. Speak with Lieutenant Anton Tolliver at The Anvil to receive the Test of Loyalty contract.
- Travel to the den. Go to Testing Station 13 in Western Vermillius Gap and investigate the Kirab Semuta operation.
- Find the ID bands. Search the den for the bands needed to get through its pentashield. The purple band is required for the shield guarding the final loot room.
- Collect the evidence. Search the final room beyond the pentashield for the Semuta Trade Logs.
- Deliver the logs. Return to The Anvil and give the records to Tolliver.
- Neutralize Kazmir and report back. Speak with Maxim Kazmir to complete that objective, then return to Tolliver to finish the contract.
