Start with the in-game Echo Suggestion for that Resonator, compare the recommended Echo and Sonata Effect, then use the Data Bank and Echo tracking to locate a specific target.
How to choose the best Echo for a Resonator
Judge an Echo as part of a build, not by its name or rarity alone. A damage bonus is valuable only if the Resonator and team can meet its conditions. Before committing, compare these parts of the setup:

- Character fit: Does the Echo match the current recommendation for the Resonator and the job you want the build to do?
- Sonata Effect: Read the full set effect and check whether its conditions and benefits suit the character or team.
- Stats: Confirm that the Echo’s mainstat and substats support the build in the equipment interface.
- Acquisition: Check the in-game target tracking and consider how practical the route is for the Echo you need.
Check the in-game recommendation
Kuro Games added Echo Suggestion to the character’s Echo Assembly interface in Version 2.1, so you can view recommendations for the current character. The same update added access to the Sonata Gallery and filters for mainstats and substats. Use those tools to inspect the recommendation and its set effect rather than treating a general ranking as a universal answer. Kuro Games’ Version 2.1 patch notes describe these features.
Use character guides as a second reference
The official Guide Depot offers character guides with Echo recommendations. Kuro Games cautions that Guide Depot data refreshes may be delayed, so check the in-game recommendation and full effect descriptions as well before relying on a guide for a current build. Kuro Games’ Version 2.4 patch notes include the freshness notice.

Where to get Echoes
For a particular Echo, use the Data Bank and the game’s Echo tracking to check its current target and route. Official update notes explain several acquisition systems, but they do not provide a complete, current enemy-by-enemy location directory.
Data Bank and Enhanced Absorption
Kuro Games’ Version 3.0 update notes raised the Data Bank’s maximum level to 30 and expanded Enhanced Absorption. At Data Bank level 27, Enhanced Absorption attempts apply to COST 1 and COST 3 Echoes as well as COST 4. At level 30, weekly Enhanced Absorption attempts for COST 4 increase to 20. These are system progression details, not a location list for every Echo. See the Version 3.0 update maintenance notice.

Tacet Discord Nest
The Version 3.0 notes also describe the Tacet Discord Nest, with two difficulty modes and a set number of daily Tacet Discords. Defeating those enemies awards their corresponding Echoes without spending Waveplates. Availability is tied to the region and update content, so check the live game for access and current details. Kuro Games’ Version 3.0 notice covers the feature.
Finding one specific Echo
- Open the Data Bank or the game’s Echo tracking and select the Echo you want.
- Check the target’s listed source or route in the live client; do not assume a general farming guide includes current regional availability.
- After obtaining it, compare its mainstat and substats with the Resonator’s build and verify the Sonata Effect in the equipment interface.
Kuro Games’ Version 3.2 update notes address Enhanced Absorption drop handling, but they do not establish a complete map of all Echo locations. Read the Version 3.2 update maintenance notice for that system change.

Why there is no universal Echo ranking
Echo recommendations are character-specific, and a Sonata Effect’s value depends on whether the build can use its conditions and bonuses. A single ranked list would hide those differences. For a useful comparison, hold the Resonator and intended role constant, then assess the recommended Echo, its set effect, the available stat combination, and how you can obtain it. Recheck the live client when you make a build: patch notes describe systems, not the best current setup for every character.
