The 2026 Steam Spring Sale ran March 19–26 and has ended, so the prices below are historical US-dollar snapshots—not current offers. The strongest picks depend on what you want to play: a cheap RPG, survival horror, action, a story-heavy mystery, or multiplayer. Treat this as a genre-based shortlist, not an objective ranking.

How to choose among the picks
- Start with genre and mood. Fallout: New Vegas suits a role-playing game shortlist; Resident Evil 3 and Silent Hill f are horror options with different reported price points; Control Ultimate Edition is the action pick; Danganronpa 2 emphasizes a story-led mystery; Chivalry 2 is the multiplayer choice.
- Check the edition and included content. Fallout: New Vegas’s base game and Ultimate bundle are distinct offers. Control Ultimate Edition was described as including all DLC.
- Use the price as a dated reference, not a buying signal by itself. A low historical price does not tell you whether the genre, edition, or game suits you, and it does not guarantee that the same deal is available now.
When is the next Steam Spring Sale?
Steam’s official event schedule lists the next Spring Sale for March 18–25, 2027. That schedule does not confirm which games will participate or what their discounts will be. Steamworks says, “Four times a year, we run Steam-wide seasonal sale events.” Valve’s documentation says released games can participate; discounts of 20% or more automatically trigger email notifications for users who have wishlisted a game. Visibility in special sale sections depends on factors including tags, popularity, and recommendation, so participation does not guarantee a featured placement.
