Spoilers for Arcane season 2, including the Warwick/Vander reveal and finale visuals.
The strongest League of Legends callbacks in Arcane season 2 are woven into the story rather than presented as a checklist: Janna’s temple gives Zaun a deeper history, Ekko’s finale design hints at the champion he will become, and Warwick’s appearance connects his game identity to Vander’s story. These are selected, production-confirmed examples—not an official or exhaustive ranking.
What counts as a League Easter egg in Arcane?
Arcane is based on League of Legends and produced by Riot Games with Fortiche Production, but it tells a character-led story rather than replaying the game’s events. That distinction matters: a champion reference can enrich the world or point toward a familiar design without meaning that the show is depicting a character’s full game history or abilities. Netflix’s series guide provides the series framing; the design details below are discussed in its season-two production feature.
1. Janna’s temple turns Zaun’s history into a setting detail
In season 2, episode 3, Jinx sets a trap for Vi among the ruins of an undercity temple dedicated to Janna, an ancient spirit who is also a League of Legends character. Netflix’s production feature describes the temple and Jinx’s graffiti there: the marks record important moments in the sisters’ lives.

The callback works on two levels. Players can recognize Janna’s name and place in the game’s world, while viewers who do not know League still see a space that makes Zaun feel older than the immediate conflict. The graffiti belongs to the sisters’ story; the production discussion does not identify every mark as a separate champion reference or prophecy.
2. Ekko’s finale look points toward the champion he will become
Netflix’s production feature describes Ekko as not yet the champion players meet in League of Legends, and says his finale design gestures toward that future identity. The green and orange palette, the white hourglass on his head, and visual links to Jinx and their season-one fight make the look legible as a bridge between the younger character in the show and the familiar champion.

This is a design callback, not a claim that the outfit gives Ekko his full in-game abilities. Its appeal is that it turns recognition into character development: the visual reference also carries the history between Ekko and Jinx.
3. Warwick brings Vander’s history into a champion design
Warwick’s appearance is a particularly character-heavy reference. The production team describes the League version as more werewolf-like, while Arcane’s design combines wild-animal traits with characteristics of Vander. That contrast lets the show connect a recognizable champion identity to the emotional history viewers already associate with Vander.

- Complete Bundle with Protection: Comes in original packaging and is bundled with a Plastic Box Protector with the collector in mind (Removable Film)
- Officially Licensed Character: From Arcane League of Legends - Jinx, as a stylized POP vinyl from Funko

- Premium Protective Packaging: Ships in acid-free PET plastic Pop Protector with peel-able protective film
- Secure Protector Construction: Push-lock tab that adds structural integrity to the Pop Protector when formed
The point is the adaptation choice: Warwick is not simply presented as a game character transplanted into the series. The design keeps the animal qualities while making Vander’s connection meaningful. The production discussion supports that visual and story link; it does not settle every question about game canon or the character’s eventual fate.
4. The anomaly scene is worldbuilding, not a confirmed champion Easter egg
In episode 3, Jayce, Ekko, and Heimerdinger encounter Viktor’s anomaly as reality distorts around them. Netflix’s production feature discusses the scene’s production and visual effects, making it useful context for how the show presents Hextech instability.
Rank #4
- A Good Smile Company import
- From the TV series Arcane
- SP transcends the boundaries of regular Pop Up Parades
- Measures approximately 7.87” tall
- Figure stand included
That does not make the anomaly itself a confirmed League champion Easter egg. It is better understood as a connection to Arcane’s world and lore unless a specific champion reference is identified.
How these callbacks differ
| Example | What is confirmed | What it adds beyond recognition |
|---|---|---|
| Janna’s temple | The undercity ruins are dedicated to Janna; Jinx’s graffiti appears there. | Zaun’s history and the sisters’ shared story. |
| Ekko’s finale design | The design foreshadows the champion he will become, according to Netflix’s production feature. | A visual bridge between younger Ekko, his future identity, and his relationship with Jinx. |
| Warwick’s design | The show combines animal traits with Vander’s human characteristics, unlike the more werewolf-like game design. | A champion callback shaped by Vander’s emotional history. |
| Viktor’s anomaly | The production feature discusses the trio’s encounter and the reality distortion; it does not identify the anomaly itself as a specific League Easter egg. | Hextech atmosphere and story worldbuilding. |
Keep the in-game tie-ins separate from episode details
Riot also promoted season 2 through League of Legends content, but those were game updates rather than clues hidden in Netflix episodes. Its Nov. 9, 2024 announcement covered Ambessa and a themed Bridge of Progress ARAM map for patches 14.22, 14.23, and 14.24. That patch window is historical; the announcement does not establish that those specific features remain available.
