This list covers that single expansion—not every Pokémon TCG set featuring Mega Evolution—and ranks English Near Mint cards by reported TCGplayer price. A “chase card” is collector shorthand for a card people especially seek, not an official rarity or a promise of future value.
How this chase-card list is ranked
Pokémon’s official expansion page identifies the release as the Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution expansion. The English set was released September 26, 2025, and its checklist contains 132 main-set cards and 56 secret rares—188 listed cards in total, according to TCG Vault’s set page.

“Best” can mean favorite artwork, Pokémon, character, or competitive usefulness. The evidence available here supports a more specific and reproducible comparison: English Near Mint market prices, using the TCGplayer-dollar figures in TCG Vault’s snapshot dated October 7, 2026. These are market estimates, not guaranteed completed-sale prices; values and rankings can change with date, market, language, and condition. Prices do not establish gameplay strength, artistic quality, absolute scarcity, or future investment performance.

Buying a chase card or opening packs
Buying singles
If you want a particular card, search by its name and collector number, then compare current listings for the language and condition you want. The prices here are a dated reference point rather than a quote for a purchase today.
Rank #3
- Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution—Pitch Black Booster Bundle contains six booster packs from Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution—Pitch Black.
- This is a great option for getting into the new Choas Rising expansion.
- A great gift for the Pokémon collector or player in your life.
Opening sealed packs
A pack cannot guarantee a specific chase card. EvoTerminal labels its pull-rate basis as extrapolated from a Scarlet & Violet baseline and pending verification; it is not an official or experimentally verified odds figure. Its opening-value estimates should not be read as a promise of pulling a named card or recovering a pack’s cost.
What this ranking does—and does not—tell you
This is a price-focused collector list for the English Mega Evolution expansion. It does not rank cards by tournament results or verified pack odds, and it cannot determine which card has the art or Pokémon you will personally value most. Treat the snapshot as a dated market comparison, not a prediction of what any card will be worth later.
