If you want a one-handed gaming keyboard to use alongside a mouse, the strongest choices in the evidence available for 2026 are seven distinct products—not 15. They cover the main trade-offs: familiar WASD keys, a directional thumbpad, an analog thumbstick, wireless connection, console-focused use, and a legacy option for used-market shoppers. Choose by movement style, hand fit, software and game compatibility rather than key count alone.

How to choose a one-handed gaming keypad

A one-handed gaming keyboard usually means a compact gaming keypad operated with one hand while the other controls a mouse. It is not a full keyboard designed for typing. Before comparing models, decide how you want to move and which controls you can comfortably reach.

  • WASD: Familiar finger-key movement, useful if you want a layout close to a conventional keyboard.
  • Directional thumb control: Discrete directions from a thumbpad; this is not the same as a proportional analog stick.
  • Analog thumbstick: Continuous directional input, which may suit games that support controller-style movement but requires checking compatibility and calibration.
  • Fit and reach: Consider hand size, wrist-rest adjustment, key placement and whether the controls you need are accessible without awkward stretching. Product descriptions and roundups do not establish medical or ergonomic benefits.
  • Software and connection: Check how macros and profiles are configured, whether profiles are stored onboard, and whether the model’s wired or wireless options fit your setup.
  • Game and platform support: A keypad cannot add keyboard-and-mouse support to a game that does not provide it. Console support is especially dependent on the individual game.

“Analog” can describe different things. On the Razer Tartarus Pro, the finger keys use analog optical switches, while its thumbpad is an eight-way directional control—not an analog thumbstick. Razer says the keys can register scaling levels of input, offers adjustable actuation from 1.5 to 3.6 mm, and lists 32 programmable keys and dual-function assignments. Its explanation of analog input and game examples is on the Razer Tartarus Pro product page; compatibility should not be assumed for every game or for mixed controller-and-mouse play.

Keypad Movement and layout Best fit Important check
Razer Tartarus Pro Finger-key movement; eight-way directional thumbpad; analog optical finger switches Players who want programmable controls and adjustable actuation Do not mistake the thumbpad for a proportional analog stick; check game support for analog input
Razer Tartarus V2 Pro Analog optical linear switches and a thumbstick Players interested in a newer Tartarus design and thumbstick movement Verify current software behavior, availability and price; a US $199.99 MSRP was reported at launch, not established as today’s price
Azeron Cyborg II Adjustable finger towers and analog thumbstick Players seeking an adjustable layout and analog movement Check hand fit and compatibility with the games you play
Azeron Keyzen Keyboard-style keys with Azeron-style thumb control Players who want a more conventional key layout than the Cyborg tower design Confirm the exact current SKU and availability
Redragon K585 DITI Wired, WASD-oriented mechanical keypad Budget-minded players seeking a straightforward wired option Check the specific switch variant and listing; comparisons describe 42 keys and seven macro keys
Redragon K585 PRO Wireless Wireless or wired connection options: 2.4 GHz, Bluetooth and USB-C Players who want connection flexibility It is a separate wireless variant of the K585 line; verify the exact listing and dated sale price
HORI TAC Mechanical Console-oriented keypad Players using selected PS5 or PS4 games with native keyboard-and-mouse input Support is game-specific; check the manufacturer’s current platform and model details

Best familiar, programmable layout: Razer Tartarus Pro

The Tartarus Pro is a candidate for players who want a broad set of programmable finger controls and adjustable switch actuation. Its directional thumbpad handles discrete eight-way input; it should not be selected as a substitute for a thumbstick when proportional movement is the goal. Razer also advertises assigning different functions to partial and full key presses. The manufacturer’s specifications are available on its product page.

Best newer thumbstick design: Razer Tartarus V2 Pro

The 2026 coverage describes the Tartarus V2 Pro as a separate model with Gen-2 analog optical linear switches, a thumbstick, an adjustable wrist rest, a detachable Type-C cable and up to three onboard profiles. Windows Central reported a US $199.99 MSRP in its October 3, 2026 review; that is a publication-time MSRP observation, not a current guaranteed selling price. The review also reported that a post-launch software fix was needed, so check the model’s current software status rather than assuming the launch behavior remains unchanged. See Windows Central’s review and GamesRadar’s September 17, 2026 report.

  • 7 Onboard Macro Keys for Instant Combos - Bind multiple commands to each of the 7 keys (28 total across 4 profiles), so MMO and MOBA ability rotations fire with a single press instead of fumbling for a full keyboard.
  • Swap Switches Without Soldering - The upgraded socket accepts almost any 3-pin or 5-pin switch, so you can tune the feel of your off-hand keypad to match your main board.
  • USB Pass-Through Port, Detachable Wrist Rest - Plug your mouse or headset directly into the keypad for a cleaner desk, and unclip the magnetic wrist rest whenever you want a smaller footprint.
  • 16.8 Million Colors, 5 RGB Modes - Vibrant lighting effects let your off-hand setup match the rest of your battlestation.
  • Pro Software for Even Deeper Customization - Record your own macro sequences and design custom lighting effects, so the keypad adapts to your exact keybinds.

Best for adjustable analog movement: Azeron Cyborg II

The Cyborg II stands apart through adjustable finger towers and an analog thumbstick. That makes it worth considering if you specifically want to experiment with thumbstick movement and a highly adjustable control layout. Do not assume its fit will suit every hand: confirm that the towers and required controls are reachable for you, and check the games’ input support before choosing it over WASD.

Best keyboard-style Azeron alternative: Azeron Keyzen

Category coverage distinguishes the Keyzen from the Cyborg tower layout by its keyboard-style keys while retaining Azeron-style thumb control. It may be a more natural starting point for players who want that thumb control without the Cyborg’s finger-tower arrangement. Check current product details and availability because the exact SKU matters.

Best wired budget direction: Redragon K585 DITI

The K585 DITI is positioned in current comparisons as a wired budget option with a WASD-oriented layout. The comparisons list 42 keys and seven macro keys, while Redragon’s official page identifies it as a one-handed mechanical gaming keyboard. Switch variants exist, so verify the precise version on the Redragon product page and seller listing rather than assuming every K585 has identical switches or specifications.

Best wireless flexibility: Redragon K585 PRO Wireless

The K585 PRO Wireless is not merely a connectivity setting for the wired DITI: comparisons list it as a separate variant with 2.4 GHz, Bluetooth and USB-C connection options. This is the model to investigate if cable-free use matters, but check the exact product listing and current price; reported sale prices are dated observations, not an enduring offer.

Best console-oriented option: HORI TAC Mechanical

The HORI TAC Mechanical is described as an option for selected PS5 and PS4 games that already support native keyboard-and-mouse input. Compatibility belongs to the game as well as the hardware: this keypad does not make an unsupported title accept keyboard-and-mouse controls. Confirm the precise model and platform support with HORI before purchase.

Should you buy a used Logitech G13?

The Logitech G13 Advanced Gameboard appears in category coverage as a legacy product, not a dependable current new-product recommendation. If you are considering one used, check the unit’s condition, included parts, working software support and seller return terms. Used-market price and availability are uncertain, so compare the actual listing rather than treating old coverage as a current offer.

Thumbsticks vs WASD: which movement style should you choose?

WASD gives you familiar, separate key presses. A directional thumbpad also provides discrete directions, while an analog thumbstick can provide continuous movement when the game recognizes it as such. These inputs are not interchangeable, and analog is not automatically better: game support, calibration, dead zones and personal preference all affect whether it works well for a particular player and title.

For a game you already play, check its input settings and whether it allows the control combination you want—for example, analog movement alongside mouse aiming. If support is unclear, favor a keypad whose key layout maps cleanly to the game’s established controls rather than buying on the assumption that an analog feature will work everywhere.

Check compatibility, price and fit before ordering

  1. Identify the exact model and variant. Distinguish wired K585 DITI from K585 PRO Wireless, and verify the switch or product revision shown in the seller listing.
  2. Confirm platform and game support. For consoles, check that the specific title supports native keyboard-and-mouse input. For analog controls, check game input support and whether your desired mouse-and-controller combination is allowed.
  3. Review configuration needs. Check the manufacturer’s current software documentation for macros, actuation, profiles and whether settings persist onboard. Do not assume similar-looking models share the same software features.
  4. Assess hand fit from the actual layout. Compare the placement of movement keys, thumb controls and wrist-rest adjustments with your reach; key count alone does not tell you whether the keypad will be usable.
  5. Recheck current offer details. Confirm seller, price, availability, warranty and return policy at checkout. For dated US price observations and comparison descriptions, see iTechGuides’ 2026 roundup and PicksLab’s comparison; their observations do not guarantee present listings.

Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
