Yes. The Crew Motorfest added Kauai as a free island with Season 11 on October 7, 2026, and the update also includes the free Kauai Expeditions playlist. The season’s separate Tomb Raider: Secrets of Niʻihau experience is paid DLC, so not every new island or activity is free.
What the free Kauai update includes
Ubisoft describes Kauai as a wilder, less populated island north of Oʻahu, built around exploration and off-road driving. Its terrain includes dense swamps that slow vehicles and the Red Canyon natural formation. The island’s route network spans 95 km of asphalt and 105 km off-road, according to Ubisoft’s Season 11 overview.

The free Kauai Expeditions playlist sends players into the island to explore and discover its terrain. In selected activities, eligible vehicles can use a new winch to clear obstacles and move cargo. Ubisoft also announced route discovery and wildlife across the islands as part of the season’s features.

Does free Kauai mean the game is free?
No. Kauai is a free game update, not a free copy of The Crew Motorfest. Ubisoft lists the game for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch 2, and Ubisoft+ subscribers. The official game page offers a free trial of up to five hours; Ubisoft also lists a Friend Pass for owners who want to invite friends. Ubisoft’s overview also describes more than 40 wildlife species across the archipelago and a lineup of 20 new vehicles deployed through the season. Those vehicles have different unlock paths, so the lineup should not be read as a promise that every vehicle is free.
