The Division 2’s Winter Event 2025 ran from December 16, 2025, through January 6, 2026, and has ended. Its main exotic chase was the Winter Gameplay Cache, which could drop Eagle Bearer, Ouroboros and Regulus; players earned Winter Keys through event activities and spent them on caches or donated them toward community rewards. Ubisoft did not publish individual item drop rates or confirm a return of this event in 2026.
When did the Winter Event run?
Ubisoft’s The Division 2: Winter Event 2025, published December 15, 2025, set the event window as December 16, 2025, through January 6, 2026. Ubisoft said the rewards would no longer be available to claim after the event ended. The announcement does not confirm that the event will return.
How did the Krampus event loop work?
- Find and defeat Krampuslauf followers, which spawned in Washington, D.C. in packs of four named enemies.
- Defeating a pack had a chance to spawn a Krampusnacht bounty; the bounty was not guaranteed.
- Defeat Krampus to receive loot, the White Krampus Mask and a Winter Key.
Ubisoft also listed Krampuslauf named enemies, Summit containers and hidden gifts around the D.C. map as Winter Key sources. The announcement did not give key rates, precise gift locations or a guaranteed farming route.
How could players get raid exotics?
Spend Winter Keys on Winter Gameplay Caches. Ubisoft listed the possible contents in descending order by drop chance:

The announcement gives no numerical odds for individual items and does not guarantee an exotic from a cache. Its ordering only establishes relative drop-chance categories as presented by Ubisoft; it is not a percentage table. It also does not explain all acquisition conditions for these exotics outside the event.
Other named-item listings included Lexington, Turmoil, Caretaker, Shield Splinterer, Huntsman, Hunter-Killer, Handbasket, The Harvest, Chill Out, Sleigher, Slingshot, Oh Carol, First Sight, Quickstep, Festive Delivery and Snow Machine. Bell Ringer was listed separately as an LMG.

Should Winter Keys go to caches or the community challenge?
These were different uses for the same event currency: caches offered a chance at direct loot, while donations advanced personal and platform-wide rewards.
| Use | What it advanced | Reward or outcome |
|---|---|---|
| Winter Gameplay Cache | Individual cache openings using Winter Keys | A chance at the listed gear and exotics; individual odds were not stated by Ubisoft. |
| Personal Community Challenge donation | 10, 20 or 30 donated keys | Bronze, Silver or Gold Community Challenge Arm Patch, respectively. |
| Community Cache donation | Platform-wide progress toward 330,000 donated keys per platform | After the platform reached its goal, players could use a Winter Key to unlock the White Krampus Outfit. Donations themselves did not directly award loot. |
The personal patch milestones and the platform goal were separate tracks. Ubisoft advised players to collect challenge rewards before January 6, 2026. The announcement provides no drop-rate or time-efficiency data to establish a single best strategy; the choice depended on whether a player preferred cache loot or the community milestone rewards.
