The quickest Chip plan is to complete eligible Daily Quests, run CB-23’s secret Elphrona mission whenever it is available, and collect the Upgrade Chip Station at least hourly during active sessions. A fusion itself has no universal farm: choose the output first, then acquire and protect the exact three ingredients shown for that recipe.

First decide which material you need
Upgrade Chips and fusion ingredients are separate bottlenecks. Chips improve droid variants; they do not automatically produce the named droids required by a recipe. A player saving for a specific fusion must therefore run two different plans: a Chip plan for upgrades and an ingredient plan based on the selected output.

Current independent guide coverage lists Daily Quests, missions, Scrap, World Mission crates, the Upgrade Chip Station and Super Crates as Chip sources. The figures below come from guides reviewed for versions 1.33.0 and 1.34.0 in October 2026, so check the live terminal and quest panel after an update.

Fusion ingredients
Ingredients are named droids. A selected recipe consumes three copies, which can include duplicates such as two KX or two B1 HEAVY. Because third-party lists can differ in spelling or role labels, the Workshop is the authority immediately before you confirm a fusion.
The fastest practical Upgrade Chip route
1. Clear eligible Daily Quests first
Daily Quests are the most predictable starting source. The current Chip guide records 10 Chips for an Easy quest and 25 for a Medium quest. Quest slots and rewards can change, so read the reward shown in your own panel rather than assuming every daily has the same value. Finish the eligible tasks before spending time on random crate searches; the quests require no special route once they are available.
2. Run CB-23’s secret Elphrona mission
After the mission is unlocked, CB-23’s secret Elphrona assignment is the strongest repeatable, documented mission source. Droidex lists a configured base duration of 50 minutes. Your assigned droid and any mission-speed effects can alter the actual terminal timer, so use the timer displayed in game when planning a rotation.
The four reported Chip outcomes are 40, 80, 120 and 160. Their weighted average is 77 Chips per mission. That is an average across the listed outcomes, not a guaranteed 77-Chip payout from every completion. The same guide reports a 10% four-Nova outcome, making the result partly random. Start the mission whenever its cooldown and your account unlocks allow, then use the remaining time for quests, Station collections or crate routes.

3. Keep the Upgrade Chip Station collecting
The Upgrade Chip Station produces Chips only while you are in the game and stores no more than one hour of output. Collect it at least once per hour; leaving it unattended longer does not build an unlimited reserve. The current table spans from 2 Chips per minute for a Default Common droid to 80 Chips per minute for a Kyber Mythic droid. It recommends assigning the best eligible non-Iconic droid you own.
| Station example | Reported production | Important condition |
|---|---|---|
| Default Common | 2 Chips per minute | Active play required; storage caps at one hour |
| Intermediate rarities | Not stated in the cited table | Use the in-game value for your assigned droid |
| Kyber Mythic | 80 Chips per minute | Active play required; storage caps at one hour |
For a long session, collect the Station before launching a mission, again when you return from a 50-minute CB-23 run, and whenever you pass the one-hour mark. This converts time you are already spending in the island into additional Chips without relying on a crate spawn.
4. Use Scrap as a bonus, not your main schedule
Scrap drops are less predictable. Droidex records 5 to 60 Chips per Scrap drop depending on upgrade level, with a 4.17% appearance chance when both Scrap perks are owned. The spread is too wide to treat Scrap as a fixed income rate. Pick up Scrap when it appears, but do not delay Daily Quests or CB-23 while waiting for a particular drop.

World Mission crates are event or system rewards rather than an always-on replacement for the repeatable basics. The current Chip guide lists rewards of 200, 600, 800 or 2,000 Chips, with the amount following the shared mission level. If a World Mission is available at your level, claim it as a large burst; keep the Daily Quest, CB-23 and Station cycle running between events.

6. Farm Rainbow Super Crates only when your account can unlock them
Super Crates level 3 reveals Rainbow crates. The documented route is to park Gold and Diamond crates outside one nearby spawn cluster, leave Rainbow crates as the target, and recheck nearby spawn points after each opening. This reduces the chance that a valuable Rainbow spawn is overlooked while you clear lower-priority crates.
One Droidex run recorded 67.59K Chips in one hour with DJ R-3X and BB-8 equipped. The report did not record how many crates were opened and does not publish a crates-per-hour figure. Treat 67.59K as one observed run with those companions, not a guaranteed hourly rate or a benchmark for every account. Spawn luck, unlock level and companion availability all affect the result.
How to choose and farm fusion ingredients
Start with the output, not with whatever droid happens to spawn
There are 17 fixed named recipes in current recipe coverage. Write down the desired output and its three inputs before you farm. This prevents accidentally consuming a rare droid in a different recipe and gives you a precise checklist for the Workshop.

| Desired fusion output | Reported three-droid recipe |
|---|---|
| RIV-3T | KX + IG + RIC |
| LUG-G | LOADLIFTER + ID10 + R5 |
| X-ONK | KX + KX + GONK |
| SRV-0 | RIC-1200 + B1 HEAVY + B1 HEAVY |
| AXL-POD | RIC + BDX + R7 |
| LOW-MO | A-LT + A-LT + LOADLIFTER |
| QIK-BIT | GROUNDMECH + GROUNDMECH + BB9 |
| SCRP-R | GONK + GROUNDMECH + R6 |
These examples are reported recipes, not a promise that every spelling or classification is identical on every patch. One recipe list says its names match Workshop labels, while a community guide warns that unlisted combinations can return errors. Check all three labels in the live Workshop before committing them.

Protect ingredients that appear in several recipes
Groundmech and KX, among others, occur in multiple recipes. If you are considering more than one output, keep a reserve of any shared ingredient until you have selected your final target. Do not fuse or assign a scarce copy elsewhere merely because it is currently idle. The available guides do not establish a verified, universal spawn route for every named droid, so acquisition speed is recipe-specific rather than one island-wide number.
Confirm the quality of every input
Current guide coverage says three matching copies of a droid produce one copy at the next rarity. The D-O event guide also warns that a mixed-quality set can lower the result. Before pressing the fusion button, inspect each slot for the exact name, variant and rarity you intend to consume. A correct ingredient list with one lower-quality copy can produce a weaker result than planned.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Fusion timers and the D-O event exception
The D-O guide reports that D-O halves the fusion timer only when D-O is actively equipped as your companion at the moment the fusion starts. Equipping D-O after the fusion has begun does not retroactively shorten the timer.
That perk was tied to the D-O Event reported for August 29–30, 2026, with a rerun on September 5–6. No later run was confirmed in the guide’s September 6 publication. Treat the halved timer as a reported event perk and verify the live island before assuming D-O is currently obtainable or that the effect still applies.

Which route should you run?
| Route | Repeatability | Account requirement | Activity and randomness |
|---|---|---|---|
| Daily Quests | Daily slots | Eligible quests must be available | Predictable listed rewards; complete the tasks |
| CB-23 secret Elphrona | Mission cycle; base duration reported as 50 minutes | Secret mission unlocked | Mission timer plus random 40–160 Chip outcome |
| Upgrade Chip Station | Continuous while in game | Station and an eligible droid | Active play; collect at least hourly |
| Scrap | Opportunistic | Scrap perks improve appearance chance | 5–60 Chips per drop; 4.17% chance with both perks |
| World Mission crates | When the event or system offers them | Mission availability and shared level | 200–2,000 Chips by reported mission level |
| Rainbow Super Crates | As spawns and unlocks permit | Super Crates level 3; suitable companions help | High variance; one report measured 67.59K in one hour |
For most accounts, combine routes instead of waiting on one timer: clear the available Daily Quests, launch CB-23, collect the Station during the session, take World Mission rewards when active, and use Rainbow crates only when their unlocks and spawn pattern make the effort worthwhile. The best mix depends on your unlocks, companions, assigned droid and tolerance for random payouts.
A safe fusion checklist
- Choose the exact output you want and copy its three-droid recipe into a short checklist.
- Acquire the required copies without spending shared ingredients on another recipe.
- Open the Workshop and match every displayed name, including duplicate requirements.
- Inspect rarity and variant quality on all three inputs; replace any lower-quality copy before proceeding.
- Check whether a currently active companion perk changes the timer, and equip that companion before starting if the perk requires it.
- Confirm the final preview, then commit the fusion. Once consumed, the three ingredient droids are no longer available for another recipe.
Common mistakes and fixes
Confusing Chips with ingredients
Buying or earning more Chips will not complete a recipe that still lacks its named droids. Keep separate notes for the Chip balance and the three-item ingredient checklist.
Assuming 77 Chips is guaranteed
The 77 figure is a weighted CB-23 average. A single completion can pay 40, 80, 120 or 160, so budget around the cycle rather than one guaranteed result.

Leaving the Station unattended
Because storage stops at one hour and production requires active play, return to the Station at least hourly. A longer absence does not create a larger payout.
Using an unverified recipe combination
Unlisted combinations can produce errors, and guides can disagree on spelling. Use the Workshop’s live labels and its recipe preview instead of relying on a remembered community list.
Mixing variant quality
Three names that look correct can still produce a poor result if one input is a lower-quality variant. Inspect all three slots immediately before confirmation.
What “fastest” means for this island
For Upgrade Chips, the strongest documented repeatable target is the CB-23 mission’s 77-Chip weighted average, supplemented by Daily Quests and the active-play Station. Rainbow crates can produce a much larger one-hour haul in a reported run, but the missing crates-per-hour count and spawn randomness prevent that observation from being a universal rate. For fusion ingredients, no independent source establishes one fastest route for every named droid. The reliable optimization is to choose the recipe first, preserve shared ingredients, and verify the exact three inputs and their quality in the Workshop.
