The First Descendant has announced a decision to add jiggle physics, but the developer gave no release date or implementation details. The feature was discussed in a November 2024 Discord Q&A; whether it has since shipped is not verified by the available official update information.

What did The First Descendant announce?

In a translated developer message from the game’s Discord Q&A, a developer identified in reports as TFD_PD_Lee said the team had decided to add the feature: “After a lengthy discussion with the AD today, a decision has been made to add the much-requested ‘Jiggle Physics.’” PC Gamer reported the message on November 13, 2024, and GamesRadar+ published its report on November 14.

The developer described the feature as “much-requested,” but the statement did not include a request count or other measure of player demand. The reports identify TFD_PD_Lee as a developer; they do not establish a fuller name or formal job title.

When will jiggle physics be added?

No date was announced. TFD_PD_Lee said: “This was decided only a short while ago, so the details of when and how it will be implemented in the game are yet to be finalized and will be shared in future updates.” That is a decision to add the feature, not a dated launch commitment.

What details are still unknown?

The November 2024 announcement did not say how the feature would work or which parts of the game it would affect. It did not specify:

  • Which characters or cosmetics would use it
  • Whether players could toggle or customize it
  • When it would arrive or which platforms would receive it

The developer closed the message by saying, “I hope this will be a pleasant surprise for our dear successors who have been waiting for it.”

Has the feature shipped since the announcement?

That remains unverified. The official Steam announcement feed includes later patch notices, including Patch 1.4.2 dated September 2, 2026, but the available feed information does not establish whether jiggle physics was implemented. The announcement should therefore be treated as a plan, not confirmation that the feature is currently in the game.

Where did the announcement come from?

The statement was posted in a Discord Q&A and reproduced in translated form by PC Gamer and GamesRadar+. The quoted wording is the translation published in those reports, not an independently verified original-language transcript. GamesRadar+ said the Q&A also discussed server latency, skins and events, and communication beyond Season 2; that broader discussion does not mean those subjects were resolved by the jiggle-physics announcement.
