The best recipe in The Forge depends on your weapon class, progression stage, and whether you value raw damage, speed, range, or special effects. For late-game straight swords, the listed 4 Darkryte + 2 Magmaite combination is a strong damage-focused choice. For armor, the Dark Knight Chestplate has the highest listed HP boost in the accessible recipe table at +25%, requiring 8 Obsidian, 8 Uranium, 8 Mythril, 8 Demonite, and 5 Eye.

This guide covers the available weapon and armor recipes, recommended ore combinations, listed chances and stats, and the mistakes that can waste valuable materials.

How to choose a good Forge recipe

Do not rank every craft by damage alone. The weapon tables list damage, attack interval, range, and outcome chance, while specialized combinations can add effects such as critical hits, burning, explosions, bonus weapon damage, or reduced health. A slower weapon with more damage is not automatically the best damage-per-second option.

The database separates The Forge recipes into Weapons and Armor. Its listed percentages should be read as outcome chances, not guarantees. The available pages do not identify a Roblox build or patch number, so values may change with future updates.

Best weapon recipes by progression stage

Late-game straight sword: 4 Darkryte + 2 Magmaite

The published late-game straight-sword combination uses:

  • 4 Darkryte
  • 2 Magmaite

The guide reports 114.40 base damage and an area-of-effect explosion trait described as 50% explosion damage on weapons with a 35% chance. It is a damage-oriented late-game recipe, not a universal best weapon for every build.

Late-game katana: Magmaite, Eye Ore, Fireite, and Darkryte

The published Magmaite Katana recipe is:

  • 5 Magmaite
  • 3 Eye Ore
  • 3 Fireite
  • 2 Darkryte

Its reported stats are 86.69 base damage, burn damage of 13.77% with a 20.65% chance, +10.33% weapon damage, and −6.88% health. It also lists a 50% AOE explosion effect with a 35% chance.

This is a strong effects-focused option, but the health penalty matters. It is better suited to a player who can afford the survivability trade-off than to a character that needs maximum durability.

High-damage Darkryte Katana

For a more direct damage approach, the published recipe uses:

  • 7 Darkryte
  • 2 Demonite
  • 2 Eye Ore

The reported base damage is 102.45. Eye Ore contributes +7.02% weapon damage and −4.68% health in the listed combination. Compare this with the Magmaite Katana rather than treating either as universally superior: one emphasizes a broader mix of effects, while the other reports higher base damage.

Mid-game straight sword: 3 Rivalite + 3 Ruby

The recommended mid-game straight-sword combination is:

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.
  • 3 Rivalite
  • 3 Ruby

The weapon guide reports 61.23 base damage and 20% critical-hit chance. This is a practical stepping-stone recipe before investing in the late-game Darkryte and Magmaite combination.

Mid-game gauntlet: Magmaite, Fireite, Rivalite, and Eye Ore

The published mid-game gauntlet uses:

  • 3 Magmaite
  • 3 Fireite
  • 2 Rivalite
  • 1 Eye Ore

Its reported base damage is 83.54, with a 50% AOE explosion effect at a 35% chance, burn damage of 20% at a 30% chance, and a 13% critical-hit chance.

Mid-game colossal weapon: Magmaite, Fireite, and Eye Ore

The published colossal recipe requires:

  • 16 Magmaite
  • 14 Fireite
  • 10 Eye Ore

The reported base damage is 219.60. The combination also lists a 50% AOE explosion effect at a 35% chance, burn damage of 20% at a 30% chance, and +11.63% weapon damage with −7.75% health.

This is a high-investment recipe. Its large ore requirement and health penalty make it more appropriate for a mid-game player deliberately building toward a heavy weapon than for someone simply crafting the first upgrade available.

Weapon recipe ranges and listed database stats

The recipe database groups weapons by the amount of ore used:

Weapon family Listed ore range
Daggers 3–10 ores
Gauntlets 10–20 ores
Straight Swords 10–20 ores
Katanas 20–30 ores
Great Swords and Axes 30+ ores
Colossal Swords 40–50 ores

The following are the accessible table’s listed weapon entries. “Speed” is presented as the database’s attack interval, so a smaller number indicates a shorter listed interval; use it alongside damage rather than reading damage as complete DPS.

Weapon Damage Speed Range Listed chance Value
Dagger 4.3 0.35 s 6 100% 68g
Gladius Dagger 4.3 0.32 s 6 25% 68g
Hook 4.3 0.35 s 6 6.3% 68g
Chaos 9.375 0.59 s 8 1.6% 120g
Uchigatana 8.5 0.60 s 9 100% 324g
Tachi 8.925 0.63 s 9 50% 324g
Double Battle Axe 15.75 1.05 s 9 100% 850g
Relevator 9.6 0.69 s 6 6.3% 205g
Skull Crusher 24 1.40 s 10 50% 1,355g
Dragon Slayer 22 1.12 s 10 33.3% 1,355g

For example, Skull Crusher has more listed damage than Dragon Slayer but a longer listed interval. That makes a damage-only ranking incomplete. The table also mixes weapon sale values in g, while the armor table below uses $; those labels are retained as reported by the source.

Dark Knight Chestplate

  • 8 Obsidian
  • 8 Uranium
  • 8 Mythril
  • 8 Demonite
  • 5 Eye

This is an expensive recipe, so it should be treated as a late investment rather than an early armor target.

How forging quality affects the result

Forging includes a rhythm-game-style minigame. Your timing on the hammer hits affects the quality of the crafted item and its sale profit, so missing or mistiming hits can reduce the result’s value. The recipe alone does not guarantee the best possible outcome.

The Fast Forge pass is also more limited than its name suggests. It bypasses the first two steps of the minigame, but the fourth sequence still has to be completed. It does not skip the entire forging process.

Because the exact current in-game labels and controls are not verified in the available sources, do not rely on an assumed button path, keyboard command, controller input, or console command. Follow the prompts shown in your current Roblox client.

How to plan a craft without wasting ore

  1. Choose the target family first. Decide whether you need a fast dagger, a balanced straight sword, a katana, a heavy weapon, gauntlets, or armor.
  2. Check the ore count. Weapon families occupy different ranges: daggers use the least, while colossal swords require 40–50 ores in the database.
  3. Compare the complete profile. Review damage, attack interval, range, listed chance, and special effects. For armor, compare HP boost against the cost and chance.
  4. Reserve rare ores. Do not spend Darkryte, Eye Ore, Demonite, or other scarce materials on an experiment if you are saving for a named recipe.
  5. Use a calculator for a full inventory. A calculator is most useful after selecting a goal such as planning, DPS, or optimization and entering the quantities currently in your ore inventory.
  6. Forge carefully. The minigame can affect quality and sale profit, so treat the hammer sequence as part of the craft rather than an automatic step.

Pickaxe progression: avoid buying every upgrade

Progression spending can compete directly with recipe spending. The reviewed progression guide warns that buying every shop pickaxe upgrade is wasteful. Its route identifies Iron through Sensei Moro’s quests, Cobalt for $10,000 at Miner Fred’s Forgotten Kingdom shop, Mythril for $67,500, and Arcane through a later quest; Arcane is described there as better than the shop alternatives.

The practical lesson is to avoid automatically purchasing each available pickaxe. Save currency and materials for the upgrade path that matches your current objective, especially if a higher-tier weapon or armor recipe is close.

Common recipe mistakes

Assuming there is one best weapon

The data does not establish a universal winner. A weapon’s usefulness depends on class, ore cost, damage, speed, range, effects, and progression stage. The published guide itself separates mid-game and late-game recommendations.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Treating listed chances as guarantees

A 50%, 33.3%, 25%, or 6.3% entry is a listed chance, not a promise that the item will appear on the next craft. Budget rare ores with that uncertainty in mind.

Comparing only base damage

Attack interval changes how often a weapon can deal damage. Range can affect how safely you fight, and effects such as burn, critical hits, or AOE explosions can change the value of a lower-damage weapon.

Assuming Fast Forge removes all timing

It does not. The first two minigame steps are bypassed, but the fourth sequence remains.

Spending all rare ore on the first attractive recipe

Named late-game recipes often require several rare materials at once. Check the full combination before committing, and use a planning calculator when your inventory is large.
