The four-game Epic Games Store offer in this headline was the Trine Classic Collection, promoted on December 30, 2025—not a current giveaway on October 8, 2026. It included Trine Enchanted Edition, Trine 2: Complete Story, Trine 3: Artifacts of Power, and Trine 4: Definitive Edition. The original report said the offer would end when the next giveaway arrived on December 31, without specifying a changeover time or time zone.
Which four games were free?
Neowin reported that Epic refreshed its holiday giveaway on December 30, 2025, replacing the previous Viewfinder offer with the Trine Classic Collection. The collection brought together four entries in the co-op platforming series, whose adventures feature Amadeus the Wizard, Pontius the Knight, and Zoya the Thief:
- Trine Enchanted Edition
- Trine 2: Complete Story
- Trine 3: Artifacts of Power
- Trine 4: Definitive Edition
Neowin’s December 30, 2025 report described the offer as available until the next free game appeared on December 31. It did not give an exact deadline or time zone, so that report does not establish a precise final moment to claim it.
Is the Trine collection free on Epic today?
No. The four-game offer is historical, and the headline’s “today” refers to December 30, 2025. It should not be read as an offer available on October 8, 2026.

For October 1–8, 2026, TechWiser reported that BURIED STARS and System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary were in Epic’s free-game lineup. That report gave the end of the offer as October 8 at 8 a.m. Pacific Time. This is secondary-source reporting, not live confirmation of what is available in every region; check the Epic Games Store Free Games page for the current storefront listing.

Epic’s general Free Games page describes a recurring weekly giveaway, with new free games arriving on Thursdays. That schedule is useful context, but it does not establish the exact deadline for a past holiday promotion: the Trine report said its offer ended with the next giveaway on December 31, and did not state a time zone. Holiday schedules can differ from the usual cadence.
