Who were the 2024 Game Awards Game of the Year nominees?
Xbox Wire’s November 18 roundup named Balatro and Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree among the Game of the Year nominees. Its article also covered nominated games in other categories, but the accessible material does not establish the complete six-title Game of the Year lineup. For that reason, this article does not present a partial list as if it were complete.
The two named titles illustrate how different the nominees could be: Balatro is a poker-inspired roguelike deckbuilder, while Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree is an expansion to Elden Ring.
