Quest route at a glance
- Speak with Feng Jisheng beside the Masterwood Hamlet Boundary Stone in Jadewood Court, Kaifeng.
- Ask the Boatman near Lu Ban Shrine about Murong Yuan. Find the Boatman’s coin pouch outside the shrine beside the small pond and bamboo scaffolding, then return it.
- Speak with Murong Yuan inside Lu Ban Shrine.
- Collect the Jade of Artistry at Buddha Statue Site and the Jade of Craft at Tile Kiln.
- Return both jades to Murong Yuan, then dive into the right-hand pool inside Lu Ban Shrine to reach the submerged laboratory.
- Open the laboratory’s three ring locks, collect the Jade of Way from the golden chest, and let the scene finish so you receive the Mohist Token.
- Exit using the nearby signpost and give the Mohist Token to Feng Jisheng.
Where do you start The Lu and Mo Debate?
Find Feng Jisheng beside the Masterwood Hamlet Boundary Stone in Jadewood Court, Kaifeng. After speaking with him, go to the Boatman near Lu Ban Shrine and ask about Murong Yuan. The coin pouch is outside the shrine, beside the small pond and bamboo scaffolding; return it to the Boatman before speaking with Murong Yuan inside the shrine.

How to get the Jade of Artistry at Buddha Statue Site
- At the largest Buddha, take the path on its right to the cave. Burn the vines blocking the way with a Fire Arrow, climb through, and descend to the first movable sound device.
- Align the first device toward the second and select Lift. Align the second toward the gate and select Drop Down.
- Shoot the hanging bell near the gate, then use Meridian Touch on the resonating ring before the sound fades.
- Go through the opened gate and take the Jade of Artistry from the pedestal chest.
Walkthroughs describe turning the devices three times from their starting positions. If either device has already been moved, use the target directions and heights above rather than repeating that turn count.

- Travel west from the Grand Canal Boundary Stone to Tile Kiln. The cave is behind the main building.
- Shoot the bell at the sealed cave entrance, then use Meridian Touch on the ring while it resonates.
- Enter the cave and take the Jade of Craft from the container.
Which pool leads to the underwater laboratory?
After returning both jades to Murong Yuan, use the right-hand pool inside Lu Ban Shrine when facing him and the altar. Dive to the bottom and swim through the submerged passage. This is not the exterior pond by the shrine where you found the Boatman’s pouch.

How to open the laboratory’s three ring locks
The laboratory has three ring locks: one near the entrance, one along the moving-platform route, and one by the upper machinery. Each uses the same timed interaction: shoot the nearby bell, then apply Meridian Touch to the ring while it resonates. Keep your bow ready, especially around the moving platform, so you can complete both actions before the sound fades.
If Celestial Seize has no effect on a jade ring, switch to Meridian Touch after ringing the bell. For this puzzle, the ring interaction is Meridian Touch, not Celestial Seize.

- Ring the bell near the first lock and use Meridian Touch on its ring.
- Follow the moving-platform route to the second lock; shoot its bell and use Meridian Touch during the resonance.
- Reach the upper machinery and repeat the bell-then-Meridian-Touch sequence for the third lock.
- Return to the lower chamber and open the golden chest for the Jade of Way. Let the scene finish to receive the Mohist Token.
- Exit through the nearby signpost and hand the token to Feng Jisheng.
