The rare Fortnite outfit The Paradigm did briefly appear in the Item Shop in August 2024, after roughly five years away. It was reported as an accidental listing that lasted about 15 minutes—not a sign that the skin is available now or has been deliberately re-released.
What happened when The Paradigm appeared in the shop?
The Paradigm is a Fortnite cosmetic outfit. TheBadGamer reported that it unexpectedly showed up in the Item Shop on August 9, 2024, after an absence of roughly five years. The same report attributed the appearance to a bug and said the listing remained for about 15 minutes. These are details reported by that outlet, rather than figures independently confirmed here. What happened to players who bought it?
According to TheBadGamer, Fortnite initially planned to remove The Paradigm from purchasers’ inventories, then reversed that decision after player criticism. Buyers were allowed to keep the outfit and received back the V-Bucks they had spent. A 2025 retrospective by FortniteNews.gg also describes that remedy. FortniteNews.gg’s retrospective
Was a special style promised to original owners?
TheBadGamer and FortniteNews.gg reported that a special style for original owners was planned. The sources establish the reported plan, but do not verify whether or when the style was delivered. It should not be treated as a confirmed, currently available reward.

How certain are the details?
The available accounts are secondary reports. TheBadGamer’s story refers to an official FortniteStatus post, but that original post could not be reviewed for this article.
