The strongest formally verified sustained mouse-clicking result currently identified is 760 clicks in one minute—an average of 12.67 clicks per second (CPS). Yiğit Arslan, known as Yigox, achieved it with Logitech G in Istanbul, Türkiye, on February 10, 2026. Guinness World Records lists the achievement under most mouse clicks in one minute, rather than as a CPS record.
Higher numbers can appear in short drag-clicking, butterfly-clicking, or double-click-registration tests. They measure different things and should not automatically be compared with a verified one-minute performance.

Why there is no single universal CPS record
CPS means clicks per second. The basic calculation is:
CPS = registered clicks ÷ test duration in seconds
For example, 30 clicks in five seconds equals 6 CPS. But the result depends heavily on what the test counts as a click and how long it runs.
- Duration: A one-second burst, five-second test, ten-second attempt, and one-minute record measure different abilities.
- Technique: Normal, jitter, butterfly, and drag clicking produce different types of input.
- Hardware: Switch behavior, actuation force, firmware, debounce filtering, polling rate, and surface friction can affect registered inputs.
- Verification: A Guinness-listed result is not equivalent to an anonymous website leaderboard or an uploaded video.
- Assistance: Auto-clickers, macros, and scripts are not legitimate substitutes for human clicking in a human-performance category.
For that reason, a 30 CPS drag-click burst should not be presented as a direct improvement over 12.67 CPS sustained for a full minute.

What happened to the 105.1 CPS claim?
A widely repeated claim says Dylan Allred recorded 1,051 clicks in 10 seconds. Mathematically, that would equal 105.1 CPS. However, the relevant RecordSetter submission is marked “Denied” because it violated the platform’s rule prohibiting auto-clickers. A later 1,271-click submission on the same page is also denied.
Therefore, 105.1 CPS should be described as a denied RecordSetter submission, not as a current verified human-clicking world record.
Can a person really click at 100 CPS?
That depends on the meaning of “click.” A CPS counter usually measures registered input events, not independently observable finger movements. Very high displayed scores can result from several mechanisms:

- Next-gen 12,000 DPI HERO optical sensor delivers unrivaled gaming performance, accuracy and power efficiency
- Advanced LIGHTSPEED wireless gaming mouse for super-fast 1 ms response time and faster than wired performance
- Ultra-long battery life gives you up to 250 hours of continuous gaming on a single AA battery
- Lightweight mechanical design and classic shape for maximum maneuverability, durability and comfort
- Compact, portable design with convenient built-in storage for included USB wireless receiver
- Butterfly clicking: Two fingers alternate on one button, producing closely spaced actuations.
- Drag clicking: A finger slides across a textured button, using friction to trigger repeated switch activations.
- Double-click registration: One physical press may generate multiple software-visible events.
- Short test windows: Timing and counter behavior have a much larger effect in one-second tests.
- Low debounce filtering: The mouse may accept events that another device would suppress.
- Software assistance: Auto-clickers and macros generate inputs without legitimate manual clicking.
This does not mean every high score is fake. It means the score should be classified correctly: independent physical clicking, registered-input speed, hardware-assisted input, or invalid and undocumented input.

| Technique | What it involves | How to interpret the score |
|---|---|---|
| Normal clicking | One finger repeatedly actuates the button. | The clearest baseline for ordinary manual clicking. |
| Jitter clicking | The user induces rapid hand or forearm movement while holding the button. | Can raise short-term CPS but may reduce control and cause discomfort. |
| Butterfly clicking | Two fingers alternate on the same button. | Can produce high registered CPS; rules differ between games and servers. |
| Drag clicking | A finger is dragged across the button to trigger repeated activations. | Strongly dependent on mouse coating, friction, switches, debounce, and software. |
Informal CPS-test sites often use five-second tests and publish technique-specific scores, but those leaderboards are not automatically equivalent to a formally adjudicated record. The CPS Clicker, CPSCount, and CanYouClickIt pages are useful for understanding these differences, not for treating every listed figure as an official world record.
Which CPS results can fairly be compared?
| Category | What it measures | Comparable with the Guinness result? |
|---|---|---|
| One-minute standard clicking | Sustained manual clicking and endurance | Yes, most directly |
| Ten-second normal, jitter, or butterfly clicking | Short-duration human technique | Only with the same rules and duration |
| One-second burst | Peak short-term input rate | No; it is a separate category |
| Drag clicking | Mouse, surface, and input-registration behavior | No; use a separate category |
| Double-click or switch chatter | Multiple registered events from one actuation | Not without explicit rules |
| Auto-clicker or macro | Software-generated input | No; invalid for a human record |
What makes a CPS record credible?
A credible record should clearly state:
- The exact duration and raw click total.
- The clicking technique and whether drag or butterfly clicking is allowed.
- The mouse model, firmware, debounce settings, and relevant test settings.
- That auto-clickers, macros, scripts, and undisclosed assistance are prohibited.
- A complete video showing the player’s hand, mouse, screen, timer, and entire attempt.
- How the counter distinguishes physical actuations from switch chatter or accidental duplicates.
- That an independent organization or platform accepted the result rather than merely hosting an upload.
Guinness explains that its record titles undergo assessment and verification by its Records Management Team. That formal review is why a Guinness listing should be treated differently from an unverified CPS-test score; it does not make all CPS categories interchangeable.

How to compare your own CPS score fairly
- Use the same test duration each time. Five-second results should be compared with other five-second results, not one-second bursts.
- Record the raw total as well as the calculated CPS.
- State your technique: normal, jitter, butterfly, or drag.
- Keep the mouse and settings consistent when comparing attempts.
- Use a visible timer and counter, and avoid macros or auto-clicking software.
- Do not combine different techniques on one leaderboard.
Timer boundaries matter especially in one-second tests. Whether the first click starts the timer, how the final click is counted, and how the software rounds decimals can noticeably change the result. “20 CPS” might mean 20 clicks in one second, 100 clicks in five seconds, or a rounded average; those are not equivalent descriptions.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Does high CPS help in games?
Not necessarily. Minecraft servers and other competitive games may cap clicks, reject extremely rapid inputs, or prohibit drag clicking and double-click behavior. A CPS-test result also does not guarantee that a game will accept the same number of actions.
Practical performance depends on aim, timing, accuracy, latency, movement, and the game’s input handling. A lower but controlled CPS can be more useful than a high burst that harms aim. Always check the current rules of the specific server, tournament, or game before using a specialized technique.

Hardware and the record-setting mouse
The Guinness-listed attempt used the Logitech G PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE. Logitech describes the mouse as offering customizable actuation, rapid trigger resets, and click haptics. Those features are relevant context, but they do not establish that the mouse alone caused the record or guarantee that another player will reach 12.67 CPS.
The result belongs to the particular performer-and-equipment setup under that event’s rules. A mouse marketed for rapid actuation can change repeatability and registered input behavior, but it cannot turn every CPS score into a comparable human-performance record.
The verdict
The best formally verified sustained mouse-clicking performance currently identified is 760 clicks in one minute, equal to 12.67 CPS. Higher numbers may appear in short, technique-specific, or hardware-assisted tests, but they are not automatically faster human-clicking records. To compare CPS fairly, always specify the duration, technique, hardware, settings, raw click total, and verification status.
