There is no verified, game-specific graphics preset or setting-by-setting FPS guide for The Relic: First Guardian. The official Steam listing does not publish a GPU requirement, target frame rate, or detailed graphics menu, and the developer says technical and performance work is ongoing. You can still troubleshoot systematically: check the game version and your hardware, then compare changes using the same scene rather than relying on an unverified “best settings” recipe.

What is officially known about PC performance?

Project Cloud Games’ Steam description says it is continuing to address technical issues and performance and has released 18 patches. That is the developer’s stated patch count, not a measure of how much performance has improved. Read the current Steam listing.

Patch 14, dated August 21, 2026, reported “An improvement in frame rates on the PC and PS5.” The note gives no before-and-after results or test conditions, so it does not establish a particular FPS gain or guarantee smooth performance on every PC. See the Patch 14 record.

Steam lists these processor and memory requirements:

The listing also specifies a 64-bit processor and operating system and notes 21:9 ultrawide support. It does not name a GPU, target resolution, graphics preset, or target FPS. That omission is not evidence that any specific graphics card is sufficient or insufficient. Check the Steam system requirements.

How to troubleshoot low FPS or stutter

Use the following as a general PC diagnostic process, not as a set of fixes tested specifically for this game. Steam Support cautions that meeting a game’s listed requirements does not guarantee high FPS or strong performance; results depend on the individual machine and configuration. 1. Check for an update. Confirm that Steam has installed the latest available game update before comparing performance. The developer has said it is continuing technical and performance work, so results may differ between builds.
  2. Record your setup and symptom. Note your CPU, GPU, RAM, display resolution, and game version. Also distinguish between consistently low average FPS and brief, intermittent hitches. Those are useful facts for troubleshooting, not proof of a particular cause.
  3. Establish a repeatable baseline. Pick a scene you can revisit and observe it with your current in-game options. If you can measure FPS and frame times, record both: average FPS describes overall speed, while frame-time consistency helps show whether motion is interrupted by spikes.
  4. Change only controls the game actually offers. If the current build exposes output-resolution or visual-quality controls, lower one at a time and revisit the same scene. Compare results under the same conditions, then keep or undo the change based on what you observe. This is a diagnostic method, not a confirmed title-specific optimization.
  5. Ask for help with the relevant details. Include your CPU, GPU, RAM, resolution, game version, and whether the problem is low average FPS or momentary stutter. That gives other players or support a basis for considering your specific configuration.

Why not follow a fixed “best settings” list?

An unofficial guide surfaced with graphics and upscaler recommendations, but it identifies itself as unofficial and was updated August 11, 2026 for version 1.0. The current official Steam listing does not verify those settings claims. A recipe based on that guide should not be presented as validated for the current build. View the unofficial guide.

Likewise, there is no sourced basis here to promise that DLSS, FSR, a particular shadow option, an FPS cap, an SSD, a driver change, or a hardware upgrade will resolve this game’s stutter. A launch-day Steam Community post from one player said the game ran without FPS drops on their RTX 5070 and asked for more resolution and graphics options; that single report is an anecdote, not a benchmark or a recommendation. Read the player discussion.
