Spoilers: This guide covers puzzle solutions and the ending routes in The Room Three. The verified step-by-step directions below cover the train prologue and the opening of the Lighthouse; the available sources establish the later chapter and ending structure, but not enough individual puzzle steps to responsibly claim a complete solution for every puzzle.
How the chapters and endings fit together
The Room Three is a puzzle adventure by Fireproof Games set on a remote island. The Craftsman sends you through trials in several locations, with the mansion serving as a hub between chapters. The developer describes the eyepiece as an ability that lets you explore the world in miniature and confirms that returning to the mansion connects the chapters; puzzles there influence which alternate ending you reach. See Fireproof Games’ official game page.
The walkthrough sources organize the game into a train prologue, Lighthouse, Clock Tower, Forge, Observatory, Projector, and endings. They name four endings: Imprisoned, Release, Escape, and Lost. AppUnwrapper treats Imprisoned as the initial Projector route and the other three as alternate endings. Its chapter-organized guide and linked videos can help identify later visual interactions: AppUnwrapper’s The Room Three walkthrough. The detailed later puzzle steps are not established here, so this guide does not invent combinations or item sequences for those areas.
Controls and core mechanic
The eyepiece is essential: use it to reveal marks or details that are otherwise hidden, and to inspect objects in a miniature view. On PC, Just Adventure’s guide describes mouse controls: hold the left mouse button to turn the camera, double-click to zoom in, and right-click to zoom out. Those are PC-guide instructions, not a guarantee that controls are identical on every platform. The same guide describes an always-open inventory, automatic saves, and the ability to restart chapters; check your platform’s own controls and save behavior if they differ. Train prologue: get the eyepiece and pyramid
- Inspect the diary on the train table and read through its pages.
- When the figure leaves the box, take the small key. The box has no visible keyhole, so keep it for the box puzzle rather than searching its exterior for a lock.
- Open the suitcase by sliding both catches aside. Inspect the mechanism inside the lid to retrieve the eyepiece.
- Look at the box through the eyepiece. Slide the revealed pieces until they form a square and expose the keyhole.
- Use the small key in the revealed keyhole and take the symbol pyramid.
These opening actions are covered by both AppUnwrapper and Just Adventure.
Lighthouse opening: solve the cabinet riddles
- Inspect the window in the next door and slide its bolt to glimpse the adjoining room.
- Inspect the triangular cabinet and read the Craftsman’s letter.
- Put on the eyepiece. It reveals three riddles above hollow cylinders. Turn each cylinder until it displays the corresponding answer.
- For the first riddle, the answer is nothing. For the second, it is a clock. For the third, it is a quill or feather with an inkwell.
- When the cabinet is solved, take the letter and ornate box it reveals. Open the box and collect the lens; it joins the eyepiece.
- Use the eyepiece at the door keyhole and manipulate the lock until the central glow appears. Then proceed through the door.
The riddle wording differs slightly between walkthrough transcriptions, so use the answers and the cylinder interaction rather than relying on exact punctuation. AppUnwrapper transcribes the first two as “THE POOR HAVE ME THE RICH NEED ME” and “MY FACE IS SILENT WITHOUT MY HANDS,” and the third as “THE POWER OF FLIGHT THE WELL OF KNOWLEDGE”; Just Adventure records slightly different wording. Both give the same solutions. AppUnwrapper · Just Adventure.

Returning to the mansion and choosing an ending
The mansion is more than a route back between locations: its puzzles affect the alternate ending. The walkthrough sources identify the four ending labels as follows. The available verified details establish their names and broad grouping, but do not substantiate the exact hub puzzle sequence or the precise choices needed to trigger each route.
- Imprisoned: the initial Projector/ending route in AppUnwrapper’s organization.
- Release, Escape, and Lost: the three alternate endings identified by the walkthrough sources; the mansion hub puzzles determine which one you experience.
For an ending-specific route, consult the ending sections in AppUnwrapper’s walkthrough alongside its chapter-linked videos. A video can clarify what to inspect or move when a visual interaction is hard to identify in text; a text section is quicker when you already know the puzzle you are stuck on.

Where to get help for later chapters
The source guides have sections for the Clock Tower, Forge, Observatory, Projector, and endings, but the detailed steps for those puzzles are not verified in this guide. Use the chapter headings in AppUnwrapper’s chapter-linked text and videos or Just Adventure’s PC walkthrough to match the puzzle you are facing. If following a video, pause at each interaction and compare the object and eyepiece view with your own screen rather than skipping straight to a final position.
