To complete The Serpent’s Gift in Disney Dreamlight Valley, place four Imagination Generators, find and destroy three serpent figures, then disable Jafar’s machines in the Ancient Ruins. The reported unlock requirements are completing The Alchemical Revolution and reaching Friendship Level 7 with Jafar.
How to unlock The Serpent’s Gift
According to a walkthrough published by Nintendo Smash in August 2024, complete The Alchemical Revolution and reach Friendship Level 7 with Jafar. Then speak to him to start the quest. Nintendo Smash’s walkthrough is a secondary guide, so treat its quest details as reported steps rather than a guarantee for every current game version.
Place the four Imagination Generators
After you speak with Jafar, he gives you four Imagination Generators. Open Build Mode, find them under Requests, and place them at the locations marked by the quest. The guide does not provide a complete, dependable text list of placement coordinates, so use the in-game markers for each spot. Speak with the villagers named by the objectives and check on EVE as directed.
Find and destroy the serpent figures

- Gaston’s Lodge
- Scrooge McDuck’s Store on Eternity Isle: check behind the staircase on the left.
- Rapunzel’s Tower
Destroy each figure. Afterward, listen to Rapunzel and Scrooge outside the store, then check on Gaston to advance the quest.
Reach Jafar’s machines in the Ancient Ruins
Go to the Ancient Ruins and descend to the lower floor. Enter the room ahead to find the machines, then speak with Jafar.

Disable and break the machines
- Equip the Royal Watering Can.
- Water all three power sources. Destructoid’s August 2024 walkthrough places them as follows: a red essence left of the room entrance, another red essence behind a stone pillar directly across from the first, and a rainbow stone to the right of the entrance. Destructoid’s guide provides these location details; Nintendo Smash also describes three corner sources.
- Equip the Royal Pickaxe and break all three machines.
Finish the quest
Speak with Oswald after destroying the machines. Leave the Ruins, find Jafar, and complete the confrontation dialogue to finish the quest.
Rewards listed by the walkthrough
Nintendo Smash lists 1,320 Friendship Points, an Imagination Generator, and the Poutine Recipe as rewards. This is a secondary guide’s reward listing; no official current rewards page was available to confirm it.

If Jafar’s Level 7 quest will not start
Confirm that you have completed The Alchemical Revolution and reached Friendship Level 7 with Jafar, then check the current in-game quest requirements and markers. Gameloft’s Help Center has an entry titled “I can’t start Jafar’s Level 7 Friendship Quest,” but its returned text says the team was working on the issue and asks players to watch for updates. Because the article is displayed as last updated 594 days before the search, it does not establish the current status or a present-day workaround. Check Gameloft Support’s quest-start article for any newer information.
