The pack-specific options let you raise Pottery or Tattooing, add or remove Idealist and Shady traits, and adjust a small business’s renown or alignment. The commands below come from published guides; they have not been independently tested here, and exact behavior can vary by game patch.
How to enable Businesses & Hobbies cheats
Open the cheat console using the shortcut for your platform, then enable cheats before entering commands that require it. GamesRadar+ lists these controls and the activation command in its Businesses and Hobbies cheats guide.
- PC: Ctrl+Shift+C
- Mac: Command+Shift+C
- PlayStation or Xbox: Press all four shoulder buttons at once
Enter testingcheats true and confirm. This enables cheats and is also needed for the skill commands below. On consoles, enabling cheats may affect achievement or trophy eligibility for the current save; check the game’s on-screen warning before continuing.
Pottery and Tattooing skill cheats
PC Gamer lists these commands to set a Sim’s skill level to 10, the maximum level shown in its guide. Enter one command at a time in the cheat console after enabling cheats.

PC Gamer’s Businesses & Hobbies cheat list identifies Kintsugi as part of Pottery rather than a separate skill, and says the “repair ceramic” ability unlocks at Pottery level 7.
Idealist and Shady trait cheats
Use the equip command to add a trait or the remove command to take it off. The guide lists Idealist and Shady as mutually exclusive, so remove one before equipping the other if necessary.

PC Gamer also lists reward traits connected to Beloved Brand and Motivational Speaker, and hidden traits associated with Trashley Reelpearson. Because the commands and unlock conditions are more specific than the core pack cheats, consult the linked guide’s trait section for those entries rather than assuming they are ordinary character traits.

For a menu-based adjustment, enable cheats, then Shift-click the relevant Sim and follow the pack-specific path reported by PC Gamer:

Set renown with a rank value
PC Gamer reports the following values for the small-business renown stat. The available guide information gives the values but not a complete stat command, so use the menu path above if you need an exact in-game action rather than treating these numbers as a standalone command.

Published guides disagree on some rank values: Sims Community’s March 7, 2025 article gives different figures for several levels, including 2000, 4000, and 8500, while PC Gamer’s April 27, 2026 guide lists the values above. Treat numerical rank instructions as patch-dependent and prefer the in-game pack-cheat menu when available.
