To promote a Sim in The Sims 4 Royalty & Legacy, open the cheat console, enter testingcheats true, then enter careers.promote noble. Each use advances the Sim by one Noble rank, up to Kingdom Leader. On PlayStation or Xbox, enabling cheats this way disables achievements or trophies for the current save, according to EA.
How to enter Royalty & Legacy cheats
- Load the save and enter Live Mode. EA says Live Mode cheats are entered there.
- Open the cheat console: press Ctrl+Shift+C on PC or Mac. On PlayStation or Xbox, hold all four shoulder buttons. If you are using a mouse and keyboard on console, use Ctrl+Shift+C.
- Type
testingcheats trueand submit it. - Enter the desired cheat and submit it. For the Noble career promotion, use
careers.promote noble.
EA warns that on PlayStation and Xbox, enabling cheats that require testingcheats true disables achievements or trophies on that save. Other saves are unaffected. EA says Build Mode cheats are not subject to this consequence. EA’s cheat FAQ has the general console instructions.

EA lists this command for PC/Mac, PlayStation, and Xbox. It is the Noble promotion code documented in EA’s Noble career guide.
What the Noble promotion cheat skips
Without the cheat, a Noble Sim must meet the required Noble Duties, career performance, and skill level, then claim promotion through the Noble Promotion interaction at a throne. From level three, EA describes two routes: choose a coronation speech or hold a coronation ceremony. Rank progression also depends on favor, wealth, and favor alignment. The cheat advances the rank directly rather than requiring this normal progression.

Joining the Noble career
Royalty & Legacy adds the Noble career, which EA describes as active: duties can be performed anywhere rather than at a required work location. A Sim can enter it by requesting knighthood from a high-ranking Noble, researching Noble Legacy with The Duchess Diaries: A History of Nobility book found in a bookcase, or choosing Join Noble Career at a Majestic Throne or Ornate Throne in Build Mode. A Sim married to a Noble or born as a Noble’s child inherits the title without joining the career.
Are other Royalty & Legacy cheat codes confirmed?
PC Gamer’s guide, dated February 18, 2026, reports additional commands, including careers.add_career Noble, careers.promote Noble, and careers.demote Noble, plus codes related to skills, traits, aspirations, and other pack features. These are secondary-source reports, not commands independently verified in the EA pages cited here. Only careers.promote noble is confirmed by EA in its Noble career guide. For the other reported codes, consult the current game’s behavior rather than assuming the syntax is correct; the third-party guide has apparent spelling inconsistencies in its Swordsmanship skill code. The Noble career and Dynasty systems covered here are part of The Sims 4 Royalty & Legacy expansion, which requires The Sims 4. The promotion cheat is relevant to that pack’s Noble career; the general setup command and build cheats are not unique to the expansion. EA’s Royalty & Legacy product page describes the pack and its base-game requirement.
Dynasties in brief
Dynasties are multi-generational groups shaped by family lore, alliances, rivalries, and values. EA identifies roles including Dynasty Head, Heir, and Outcast. A Sim can belong to only one Dynasty at a time; members may live across multiple households, and the Dynasty has no size limit. EA says any Young Adult or older Sim can start one, while its Head manages values, perks, heir selection, outcasts, and membership. See EA’s Dynasty guide.
