What are the three purchase options?
EA released three digital choices: a collection for the original game, a collection for its sequel, and a bundle combining both. EA announced a worldwide rollout beginning January 31, 2025, for Windows 10 and 11 PC through the EA app, Epic Games Store, and Steam. EA’s current product listing confirms the collections and links to storefronts.

Is the combined bundle worth choosing?
The 25th Birthday Bundle contains both Legacy Collections. Using EA’s announced suggested retail prices, it is $10 more than the standalone The Sims 2 collection and $20 more than the original The Sims collection. If you want both games and the listed content, compare the bundle’s current local price with the two standalone listings; discounts can change the comparison. If you only want one game, its collection is the narrower purchase.

Can you play the rereleases on Windows 11, and what do you need?
EA announced support for Windows 10 and Windows 11 PC. The product listing states that play requires an internet connection, an EA Account, acceptance of EA’s User Agreement and Privacy Policy, installation of the EA app, and registration with a single-use product code. EA describes the purchase as a license to access digital content, rather than ownership of a physical edition. The available information does not establish whether later compatibility patches have been released, and no hands-on compatibility testing is claimed here.
