To complete The Six Blades of Kojiro, finish A New Horizon, speak with Yamato in Umugi Cove, defeat the five Straw Hat duelists marked on your map, then return to Yamato and face Kojiro at Omi Monastery. The tale is in Act 2’s Toyotama region and rewards Kensei Armor and a moderate increase to Legend.
How to unlock The Six Blades of Kojiro
Complete the main tale A New Horizon, then find the musician Yamato in Umugi Cove and speak with him to start this Mythic Tale. Guides place it in Act 2, in Toyotama. PowerPyx and Samurai Gamers both identify the prerequisite and starting location.

If Yamato is not there
If you have completed A New Horizon but cannot find Yamato, check whether you have progressed the local main quest that introduces Umugi Cove. A player comment and reply on PowerPyx suggest that as a possible fix, but it is not established as a universal requirement.
Defeat the five Straw Hat duelists
Starting the tale adds the required duel sites to your map. Defeat all five opponents before returning to Yamato. The duel names are useful checkpoints if you are matching a map marker to a guide; follow the in-game markers for navigation rather than treating broad written directions as exact coordinates.

Return to Yamato and find Kojiro
After the five Straw Hat duels, go back to Yamato in Umugi Cove. He directs Jin to Kojiro’s hideout near Omi Monastery in northwestern Toyotama. At the monastery, head toward the large Buddha statue and look for a gap in the rocks that leads into the hideout. Speak with Kojiro there to begin the final duel. PowerPyx, Samurai Gamers, and the GameFAQs guide describe this return trip and entrance.

How to win Kojiro’s duel
Guides characterize Kojiro as a tougher opponent than the earlier Straw Hat duelists. The core approach is to read his attacks, avoid unblockable strikes, and counter when he leaves an opening rather than committing to long attack strings.
- Watch for unblockable attacks and dodge them; use a parry when the incoming attack is parryable.
- Keep counterattacks measured so you can respond to his next move.
- If unlocked, Heavenly Strike and Dance of Wrath let you spend Resolve for damage.
- One guide recommends Stone Stance and entering with high Resolve; these are options to try, not requirements for completing the tale.

What The Six Blades of Kojiro rewards
Completing the tale grants Kensei Armor and a moderate Legend increase, according to PowerPyx and the GameSpot guide. The GameFAQs guide also lists a headband; check your in-game reward screen or edition if you want to confirm that additional item.
The guides do not provide a consistent, tested comparison of Kensei Armor against other armor sets. Judge it against your own build goals and upgrade level, and use the armor’s in-game description for its exact effects.
