On February 13, Insider Gaming reported six project names; those identities remain the outlet’s reporting, not an itemized confirmation from Ubisoft. In a later May 20 results release, Ubisoft said a comprehensive portfolio review had discontinued seven projects and delayed six, without identifying the additional project in the cited passage.
Which six Ubisoft projects were reported canceled?
Insider Gaming reported the following six names on February 13, 2026. Ubisoft’s January announcement confirmed the total and broad categories, but did not publish these project names.

- Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake — Ubisoft’s January release categorized the remake among the discontinued games.
- Project Aether — Insider Gaming reported that it had been in development since 2019 and had morphed in some way into a newer project.
- Project Pathfinder — The report said this project had previously been known as Project U.
- Project Crest — Insider Gaming described it as a World War II extraction shooter.
- Assassin’s Creed Rebellion — The report said Ubisoft was stopping support for the mobile game. This is a support-ending story, not necessarily the same kind of cancellation as an unreleased project.
- Assassin’s Creed Singularity — Insider Gaming described this as a mobile game also planned for PC.
Read Insider Gaming’s February 13 report for its project-by-project account. Its list should not be presented as an official Ubisoft naming announcement.
What Ubisoft officially announced in January
Ubisoft’s January 21, 2026 release said a review of its content pipeline over December and January led it to discontinue six games. The company described the group as the Sands of Time remake, four unannounced titles—including three new intellectual properties—and one mobile title. The four unannounced games and the mobile game were not identified in that release.

Why is Ubisoft canceling games?
Ubisoft said it was applying more selective portfolio-prioritization criteria and seeking enhanced quality. The cancellations formed part of a wider organizational reset, rather than a standalone announcement about the six projects.
The reset established five Creative Houses and a refocused three-year roadmap. Ubisoft framed the changes as a response to a more selective market and as a way to pursue higher quality and sustainable growth. CEO Yves Guillemot described the pressures behind the shift: “On the one hand, the AAA industry has become persistently more selective and competitive with rising development costs and greater challenges in creating brands. On the other hand, exceptional AAA games, when successful, have more financial potential than ever.”

- With broad game support, the Logitech Gamepad F310 works with old standbys to today's biggest titles, so it's easy to set up and use with your favorite games.
- Profiler software allows the gamepad to be programmed to perform keyboard and mouse commands for games without gamepad support.* * Requires software installation.
- A familiar control layout that doesn't require a learning curve to be able to use, with all the same buttons as on an Xbox 360.
- The unique floating D-pad rests on four switches-instead of a single pivot point-making it responsive to quick changes in direction.
- The six-foot cord lets you lean back and play a comfortable distance from your PC monitor.
Ubisoft’s later May count
In its May 20, 2026 results, Ubisoft said the comprehensive portfolio review had led to seven discontinued projects and six delayed projects. That is a later portfolio total, not a correction that turns the January announcement into a seven-game cancellation announcement. The cited May passage does not name the seventh discontinued project, so it does not establish which project was additional or independently confirm all six names reported by Insider Gaming.
