Micromania France is offering a replica Nintendo 64-style game box for some pre-orders of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on Nintendo Switch 2, making it the most nostalgia-focused bonus currently documented for the French market. The remake is scheduled to launch on November 5, 2026, but the box is tied to participating midnight-launch locations rather than every Micromania order.
What Micromania is offering
A replica N64 box at selected midnight launches
The headline bonus is a reproduction of the black-and-gold packaging associated with the original European Nintendo 64 release. It is sized to hold the modern Switch 2 game case, so it functions as display packaging rather than a second copy of the game.

Availability is reported for participating Micromania stores running a midnight launch. That means the promotion depends on the store, the event and remaining stock; a standard online reservation should not be treated as an automatic claim to the box.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesA separate online package
Micromania also lists a different incentive for online pre-orders: a black-and-green wallet and a set of spiritual stones. This package is described as available for pickup around launch. It is separate from the N64-style box, so customers should check which promotion is attached to the order channel they are using.
#1 Best Overall
- This is the world edition. It has different packaging but is fully authentic and works on US region 3DS systems.
- The Legend of Zelda veterans can look forward to the Master Quest - a second quest with revamped puzzles and redesigned dungeons.
- The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D is a masterful improvement on one of the landmark releases in video game history.
- “E10+”, w/Animated Blood, Fantasy Violence, Suggestive Themes
How the French retailer bonuses compare
| Retailer | Bonus | Important conditions |
|---|---|---|
| Micromania | Replica N64-style box at participating midnight-launch locations; online listings report a black-and-green wallet plus spiritual stones | Event participation, location and stock determine the box; the wallet-and-stones package is a separate online incentive |
| Fnac | Ocarina keychain and two Door of Time coasters | The official product page instructs customers to add the game and both bonus items to the basket, subject to stock |
| Carrefour | €10 voucher | Available for eligible online or in-store reservations under redemption conditions; the listed dates run into November 2026 |
| Amazon | No pre-order bonus listed in a September comparison | That was the status at the time of the comparison; check the live listing for changes |
Why Micromania’s box stands out
Fnac’s keychain and Door of Time coasters are compact collectibles, while Carrefour’s €10 credit has straightforward monetary value. Micromania’s box targets a different priority: recreating the experience of opening a late-1990s Zelda release and giving the Switch 2 edition a display piece that resembles the original packaging.
Notebookcheck described it as potentially “the most enticing Ocarina of Time pre-order bonus for Zelda fans,” reflecting the box’s stronger connection to the game’s 1998 identity. That is a collector appeal, not proof that it is the most valuable offer for every buyer.
What to check before reserving
- Confirm the edition and platform. The promotion concerns the Nintendo Switch 2 version launching November 5, 2026.
- Verify the exact Micromania store. Ask whether it is participating in the midnight launch and whether the replica boxes remain in stock.
- Read the bonus line on an online order. Do not assume the online wallet and spiritual stones include the midnight-launch box.
- For Fnac, add all required items. The listing says the game, keychain and both coasters must be placed in the basket, and the gifts remain stock-dependent.
- For Carrefour, check voucher terms. The €10 offer is credit, not a physical Zelda collectible, and eligibility and redemption dates apply.
- Recheck immediately before payment. Retailer pages can change when allocations sell out or launch arrangements are updated.
Can buyers outside France get these bonuses?
Nothing in the documented offers establishes worldwide availability. Each bonus is presented through a French retailer, with the N64 box additionally restricted to participating physical launch events. International buyers would need to confirm whether the retailer ships to their country, whether the order can be collected in France, and whether the bonus is still allocated to that order. Importing the game does not by itself guarantee any of the promotional items.
Which offer is best?
Choose Micromania’s midnight-launch reservation if the replica N64 presentation box is the priority and you can attend a participating store. Choose the Micromania online package if the wallet and spiritual stones are more useful to you. Fnac is the clearest alternative for smaller physical collectibles, provided all bonus lines appear in the basket. Carrefour is the strongest value choice for someone who would rather receive €10 in credit than another display item. Amazon had no bonus in the September comparison, but its current listing should be checked before ordering.
