The Special Program listing is dated July 5, 2024; the update, titled “Summertide Scales and Tales,” was announced on July 17.
What did the Version 4.8 livestream reveal about Natlan?
The official Genshin Impact Version 4.8 Special Program listing, dated July 5, 2024, describes a program about Version 4.8 content and developments. HoYoverse’s subsequent Version 4.8 announcement links a “sneak peak trailer for Natlan characters.” That establishes that the update’s official promotion included a Natlan character preview.
The announcement text does not identify the characters by name. So, although the headline wording refers to three characters, the reviewed official text alone does not verify who they are or substantiate their identities. Naming them from this material would go beyond what it confirms.
What was new in Version 4.8, and what was separate?
Version 4.8 was titled “Summertide Scales and Tales.” Its announcement separately identifies Emilie as a new recruitable five-star character debuting in the update. That release information is distinct from the Natlan character sneak peek: the announcement does not present Emilie as one of the teased Natlan characters.

Where did the teaser fit into Natlan’s rollout?
The Version 4.8-linked character preview came after earlier official Natlan material. HoYoverse’s Version 4.7 announcement says a one-minute Natlan video clip appeared at the end of that Special Program and describes the region as arriving later in 2024. A further official Natlan preview teaser, “To the Light of Rainbow Flames,” was published on August 20, 2024.
That places the Version 4.8 character sneak peek between the earlier regional preview and the later Natlan teaser page. These sources establish the sequence of promotional material, not the identities of the characters in the Version 4.8-linked trailer.
