When Scorpos hides, follow the moving purple pattern and lead another small scorpion to the whirlpool that appears beneath it. Keep moving when Scorpos burrows, and move away when it starts spinning.
How to unlock Scorpos
Scorpos, also called Tower Crystal Scorpion, is the Floor 12 boss in Taedal’s Tower, in the challenge “Answers in the Sand.” A fan guide published June 1, 2024 says you must complete Floor 11, “Maze of Death,” and be level 37 or higher. Reveal Scorpos at the start
- Attack the small Tower Explosion Scorpion in the sandy arena.
- Keep your distance as you draw it toward the sand whirlpool; the guide describes the small scorpion’s damage as melee.

Solve the purple-pattern hide phase
When Scorpos hides, three Tower Explosion Scorpions and three moving patterns appear. Track the purple pattern rather than choosing a whirlpool at random.
- Watch the patterns as they move across the arena.
- When they stop, look for the whirlpools that form at their positions.
- Lure a small Tower Explosion Scorpion into the whirlpool beneath the purple pattern. This brings Scorpos back into the fight. Source: ThroneAndLiberty.Online’s Scorpos guide.
Respond to Scorpos’s attacks
Burrowing and reappearing
Scorpos can disappear underground and quickly reappear elsewhere. Keep moving instead of waiting beside the spot where it vanished, so you are less likely to be next to it when it resurfaces. An official Update 2.17.0 note dated July 2, 2025 says: “Secret Dungeon: Scorpos will now appear correctly after tunneling underground then re-emerging.” That confirms a past fix, not whether a similar issue affects later builds. Reported completion rewards
