Training Dew is the legacy name for an item that changed to Weapon Mastery Seal in Throne and Liberty’s March 5, 2025, Wilds of Talandre update. Existing Dew can still be consumed, but it can no longer be acquired. Seals grant mastery experience that you assign to a weapon of your choice in the Weapon Mastery level-up interface—not automatically to the weapon you have equipped.
What happened to Training Dew?
The official Wilds of Talandre update, released March 5, 2025, changed the Training Dew item to Weapon Mastery Seal. The update says existing Training Dew remains consumable, while new Training Dew can no longer be acquired. In other words, Training Dew is legacy terminology and an item you may still have—not the name of the current mastery item.
An older official character progression guide describes the earlier system. A secondary item database likewise describes Training Dew as increasing mastery for an equipped weapon and warns that it cannot be used without one equipped or after mastery is maxed. Those are old-item usage details; for a Dew item still in your inventory, check its current in-game tooltip and interface rather than assuming every old instruction applies unchanged.
How Weapon Mastery works now
Weapon Mastery Seals grant mastery experience. When you use that experience, the level-up interface lets you select which weapon receives it. Mastery progression is therefore separate from the weapon currently equipped: you can direct experience to a weapon you are developing even when you are using another one.

Each weapon can reach mastery level 200. The revised system also adds selectable mastery nodes and integrated mastery skills, so progression affects more than a single level number.
How to use a Weapon Mastery Seal
- Use a Weapon Mastery Seal through the game’s mastery progression interface to obtain mastery experience.
- In the Weapon Mastery level-up interface, select the weapon you want to advance.
- Invest the available mastery experience in that weapon and review its progression options before confirming your allocation.
The official update establishes that experience can be invested freely in weapons selected by the player. It does not provide a complete current list of Seal sources or acquisition quantities. Avoid relying on older farming routes or weekly limits as current unless a current in-game display or patch-specific official information confirms them.

What mastery levels unlock
Weapon mastery nodes
The revised system includes a node tree for customizing weapon progression. The official update describes four node grades: Common, Uncommon, Rare, and Heroic. Nodes can be upgraded to level 10. Heroic nodes have additional requirements, and achievements and node allocation are part of the system; check the in-game tree for the requirements relevant to a particular node.
Integrated mastery skills
Integrated mastery is based on the sum of your weapon mastery levels and can unlock up to four integrated skill slots. This makes mastery across your weapons relevant to build customization, alongside the nodes on each weapon.
