To get into Tipping Point Bunker, complete the main story mission One Fell Swoop first. Then climb through the large ventilation opening beside the main door, take a Locust Canister from the dispenser in the upper room, drop back down, and throw the canister at the armored entrance. Guides from Insider Gaming and Gamepressure, both published in September and October 2025, describe this sequence, and the bunker’s final boss is Mimicron.
Where the bunker is and what you need before entering
Tipping Point is an Order Bunker in Idolator’s Noose, in the southeastern part of the Fadefields. Some guides place it southeast of Idolator’s Noose, near Wyclef’s Reprieve. Before you try the entrance, confirm the following:

- Story progress: One Fell Swoop must be complete. Gamepressure notes that the canister dispenser will not be present until that mission is done.
- Location: Head to the southeastern side of Idolator’s Noose. You can reach the exterior before you can get inside, so arriving early is not a problem.
- Name: Some references list the bunker simply as “Tipping Point,” so you may see both forms in other guides.
If you cannot find the canister machine, check your story progress before assuming the bunker is broken. The missing dispenser is the most likely cause, and it is the one the guides describe.
Opening the sealed entrance
The entrance is a barrier that a thrown Locust Canister dissolves. The canister comes from the upper room, not from the door itself. The guides cited here describe this sequence:

- Stand at the main bunker door and find the large, round ventilation opening on the side. Guides describe it as being to the left of the entrance, but that direction depends on which way you are facing, so look for the round opening rather than relying on left or right.
- Enter the vent and climb or jump onto the upper platform or room.
- Take a Locust Canister from the dispenser in that room.
- Drop back down to the door.
- Throw the canister at the armored main door to dissolve the barrier.
The steps match across Insider Gaming and PC Gamer, and Gamepressure gives the same route with more detail. For the step-by-step entry, see the Insider Gaming entry guide, and for a more detailed interior walkthrough, see the Gamepressure guide. The PC Gamer guide on the Complex Root location also covers the bunker’s entrance.
Navigating the interior
Once the door is open, you must clear the Order troops inside. Gamepressure describes the rest of the route in roughly this order. The guide does not provide a map or exact coordinates for each interaction, so use the room layout and the visible consoles as landmarks.
- Turn through the first rooms and clear the Order enemies.
- Reach the production-line area and collect canisters there.
- Use the canister console to unlock the next door. Gamepressure notes that you will repeat this canister-console interaction in the next section.
- Use the elevator and the climbable walls to reach the upper area.
- Replenish at the vending machines before the boss.
- Slide into the boss arena.
Mimicron, the bunker boss
Mimicron is the boss at the end of the bunker, according to both PC Gamer and Insider Gaming. Gamepressure’s interior walkthrough leads you to the arena through the same sequence.
Recommended damage types
A secondary farming guide from All Things How recommends Shock against shields and Corrosive against armor. This is guide advice, not official balance documentation, so treat it as a starting point and adjust based on how your own weapons perform in the fight. The guide does not rank Vault Hunter builds or loadouts, so no build is established here as the best choice.

Complex Root and loot
PC Gamer reports that Mimicron can drop the Complex Root legendary sniper rifle. The guides cited here do not establish current drop odds, so this article does not promise a drop or estimate how many runs you will need.
All Things How also reports that the Moxxi’s Big Encore machine can restart the fight in exchange for in-game currency. This is a secondary guide’s report, and it is not confirmed by an official source.

- The walkthroughs used here were published in September and October 2025. Later patches may change the entrance, boss behavior, or loot.
- The entrance mechanics and story gate agree across several guides, which makes them the most reliable parts of this guide.
- Loot and farming information is the least certain part. Check current game data or the latest patch notes before planning a farming session around it.
