The Titanstring Bow is a rare +1 longbow in Baldur’s Gate 3 that adds the wielder’s Strength modifier to its damage while still using Dexterity normally for ranged weapon damage. You can buy it from Brem in the Zhentarim Basement after completing Find the Missing Shipment and unlocking his special stock; Lann Tarv at Moonrise Towers is an alternate seller if that stock was not unlocked earlier.
What the Titanstring Bow does
The Titanstring Bow is a rare +1 longbow. Its listed weapon damage is 1d8+1 piercing, with the wielder’s Dexterity modifier applying as usual. Its Titan Weapon property adds Strength modifier damage on top. The item reference lists a range of 18 m (60 ft) and a weight of 1.1 kg (2.2 lb). BG3 Wiki: Titanstring Bow
The in-game passive description reads: “This weapon deals additional damage equal to your Strength Modifier.” That Strength damage does not replace Dexterity: the ordinary ranged weapon calculation still uses Dexterity, and the passive adds Strength damage as a separate bonus.
Where to buy the Titanstring Bow
Brem in the Zhentarim Basement
Brem sells the bow after you complete Find the Missing Shipment and unlock his special stock. The item listing gives his location as X: 295, Y: -250. This is the Act 1 route when its quest and stock conditions are met.

Weapon actions and other properties
- Brace (Ranged): Spend 6 m (20 ft) of movement to roll ranged damage twice for the rest of the turn and use the higher result.
- Hamstring Shot: May reduce a target’s movement speed by 50%.
- Pushing Attack (Ranged): On a failed separate Strength save, pushes the target 4.5 m (15 ft).
These actions add utility beyond the passive damage bonus: Brace can improve a damage roll, Hamstring Shot can hinder movement, and Pushing Attack can reposition a target when its save fails. BG3 Wiki: Titanstring Bow

How Titan Weapon interacts with damage riders
The Strength bonus is not shown in the character sheet or ranged attack tooltip, so the displayed number may understate the bow’s damage. A mechanics reference also describes repeated applications of the bonus to certain additional damage sources, including special-arrow damage. According to that mechanics reference, most repeated interactions were changed in Honour mode, although special arrows can still receive the bonus. It also says Titan Weapon applies to most Arcane Shots, with Seeking Arrow and Piercing Arrow called out as exceptions because those actions lack attack rolls. Check the chosen action and difficulty mode before relying on a precise damage total; the cited community-maintained references do not establish that every interaction is unchanged across game versions.

What to consider before building around it
The bow’s distinctive advantage is adding Strength damage without giving up the usual Dexterity contribution to ranged weapon damage. That can make it attractive to a character who can supply Strength while maintaining the attributes and other priorities needed for the build. The exact value depends on the attack used and how its damage riders behave in the selected difficulty mode; the references support the bow’s mechanics but do not provide a sourced, like-for-like comparison with named alternative bows.
