Wordle answer for Saturday, February 7, 2026

BLEAT

Bleat is the characteristic cry of a sheep or goat. As a verb, it means to make that sound; as a noun, it refers to the sound itself.

How to play Wordle

Play the New York Times version at the official Wordle page. Enter a five-letter guess, then use the tile colors to narrow down the answer:

  • Green: the letter is correct and in the correct position.
  • Yellow: the letter is in the answer but in another position.
  • Gray: the letter does not appear in the answer.

You have six guesses to solve the daily puzzle. Because the daily cycle can be experienced differently across time zones, the safest way to identify an archived puzzle is to use its full date together with its puzzle number.

Tips for future Wordle puzzles

  • Start with a guess that tests several common vowels and consonants.
  • Use a second guess to investigate untested letters instead of automatically repeating gray ones.
  • When several candidates share an ending, choose a guess that distinguishes their remaining consonants.
  • Do not assume that every apparent plural or inflected form will be accepted; Wordle’s answer list is curated and may change.

No single opening word is objectively best without a defined statistical method and word list, so treat common starter recommendations as strategy preferences rather than guarantees.
