Tomb Raider I–III Remastered Starring Lara Croft is available on Android. Aspyr’s mobile collection includes the three classic games, all of their major expansion packs and secret levels, remastered visuals, original-style graphics, touch controls, and the post-launch Challenge Mode.
This is a mobile version of the 2024 remastered trilogy—not a new remake and not the separate Android port of the 2013 Tomb Raider.

When did Tomb Raider I–III Remastered launch on Android?
The collection originally released on PC and consoles on February 14, 2024. The Android and iOS versions were available by March 12, 2026, when Aspyr published its mobile update adding touch controls and Challenge Mode. Aspyr’s patch notes confirm the mobile availability and update details.

The Android release is a paid Google Play product from Aspyr Media, Inc. The store listing displays in-app purchases, but the exact price varies by country, currency, tax, and promotion, so check the live Google Play listing before buying.

What games and expansions are included?
This is one collection rather than three separate Android downloads. It contains the complete original trilogy and its associated expansion content:

The package also includes the trilogy’s secret levels. That makes it substantially more than a mobile rerelease of the three base campaigns.
What has been remastered?
Expect a presentation and quality-of-life upgrade, not a full remake. The original level layouts, puzzles, enemies, movement, structure, and general gameplay identity remain intact. It does not use the cinematic storytelling or movement systems of the later Survivor trilogy.
The Android version includes:
- Updated visuals with an option to switch to the original polygonal presentation.
- Modern controls alongside classic tank controls.
- A touch interface designed for mobile play.
- Photo Mode.
- Challenge Mode, with additional outfits and achievements.

What is Challenge Mode?
Challenge Mode is free post-launch content available on Android. It lets players replay completed levels with configurable rules instead of simply repeating the standard campaign.

The mode adds new outfits, a challenge-rating system, and 15 new achievements or trophies. Challenge saves and checkpoints are marked with a skull icon so they are distinct from normal campaign saves.
Challenge Mode can also function as a level selector without modifiers, but it starts the chosen level as a fresh challenge. It does not carry over the inventory from a normal campaign save.
How good are the Android controls?
Touch controls are the most convenient option, but classic Tomb Raider demands precise jumps, combat positioning, and camera control. For longer sessions, a compatible physical controller is likely the more comfortable choice.
- Touch controls: require no extra hardware but may feel awkward during difficult platforming or combat.
- Modern controls: are more familiar to players who began with the later trilogy, though they change the feel of the original games.
- Tank controls: preserve the classic movement style and are often the best fit for players returning to the 1990s games.
The Android store listing advertises touch, modern, and tank controls. Do not assume that every controller, keyboard, mouse, or remapping option works identically to the PC and console editions; verify compatibility with your specific Android device and controller before buying hardware.
Which Android devices are supported?
A complete official processor, RAM, storage, or Android-version whitelist is not provided in the available material. Compatibility is handled through Google Play and can vary according to your phone or tablet model, Android version, chipset, GPU, region, certification status, and available storage.

The safest check is to open the Google Play page from the device you intend to use. If the store marks the app as incompatible, do not assume that the requirements for another Android Tomb Raider game apply here.
Performance, battery use, resolution, and frame rate can also vary by device. There is no reliable basis for promising identical performance across all Android phones and tablets.
Android patches and technical caveats
The mobile release received several updates during its early availability, including fixes specific to Android. That is useful support, but it also means the launch build should not be treated as technically flawless.
March 12, 2026: Challenge Mode update

April 1, 2026: Patch 1
Patch 1 addressed mobile issues involving the additional-weapon modifier, the Speed Demon outfit unlock, the Golden Mask bonus level Nightmare in Vegas, textures, outfits, gameplay, and the interface. The full list is available in Aspyr’s Patch 1 notes.

May 1, 2026: Patch 2
Patch 2 included Android fixes for cloud saves failing to preserve unlocked outfits, character clipping, misaligned or missing UI buttons, controller lag, menu navigation and highlighting, and subtitle problems in cinematics and Croft Manor. It also addressed other platform-specific issues. Read the official Patch 2 notes.
Aspyr has also acknowledged continuing investigations into crashes, saves, artificial intelligence, and inventory behavior in its community update. Android and iOS should not automatically be assumed to have identical fixes or patch timing.
Is the Android version the same as PC and console?
In terms of major game content, Aspyr presents the mobile edition as the complete collection: all three games, their expansions, secret levels, and Challenge Mode are included. However, “complete” does not mean technically identical across platforms.
Differences may include the touch interface, graphics settings, device performance, controller behavior, screen-ratio scaling, achievements, save services, and patch timing. Do not assume that Android supports cross-platform progression simply because cloud saves are mentioned; Patch 2 specifically addressed Android cloud-save behavior for unlocked outfits.
How to troubleshoot common Android problems
- The app does not appear or cannot be installed: Open the official Google Play listing from the target device and check its country and device eligibility.
- A controller is not responding: Update the game, reconnect the controller after launching it, and check both Android’s controller recognition and the game’s control preset.
- Buttons are missing or misplaced: Install the latest available update. Patch 2 specifically addressed Android UI alignment and missing-button problems.
- Unlocked outfits disappear after restoring a cloud save: Update to a build containing Patch 2 or later, which addressed that Android issue.
- The game crashes or runs poorly: Update Android and the game, close unnecessary background apps, and contact Aspyr Support if the issue continues.
- You find an unofficial APK: Avoid it. Use Google Play or Aspyr’s official channels to reduce the risk of malware, broken licensing, and unsupported builds.
Do not confuse it with the 2013 Tomb Raider Android game
Google Play lists two separate products. Tomb Raider I–III Remastered Starring Lara Croft is Aspyr’s classic trilogy collection. Feral Interactive’s separate Tomb Raider Android port is the 2013 reboot.

The Feral game is not included in the remastered trilogy, and the trilogy is not an Android version of the 2013 game. Players seeking the Survivor-era reboot should choose the separate Feral release; players seeking the original Core Design adventures should choose Aspyr’s I–III collection.
Likewise, Tomb Raider IV–VI Remastered is a separate collection. It is not part of the Android I–III purchase unless a current store listing explicitly says otherwise.
Should you buy Tomb Raider I–III Remastered on Android?
Buy it if you want the original trilogy in a portable, officially remastered package. The three campaigns, expansions, secret levels, visual toggle, multiple control styles, and Challenge Mode make this a substantial collection for classic Tomb Raider fans.

Wait if your device is only marginally compatible, you are concerned about early technical issues, or you already own the collection on PC or console and do not specifically need a mobile copy.
Choose another game if you want modern cinematic combat and movement. This remaster preserves the design of the original games rather than rebuilding them as a Survivor-era adventure.
For the intended audience—Android players who want the classic trilogy rather than the 2013 reboot—the answer is yes: Tomb Raider I–III Remastered is now a legitimate mobile option, provided Google Play confirms that your device is supported and you are comfortable with the control trade-off.
