Reports say the Denuvo Anti-Tamper disclosure disappeared from the Steam page for Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis on September 30, 2026. That is a change to a store-page label—not confirmation that Denuvo has been removed from the final PC game. As of the October 5 reports, Amazon Game Studios and the developers had not explained the change, and it could have been deliberate or a listing mistake.
What changed on Steam?
Prima Games reported on October 5, citing SteamDB update history, that the Denuvo disclosure had been present on the Steam listing since June 2026 and disappeared on September 30. DSOGaming also reported on October 5 that the label was missing, while noting that the change might be intentional or accidental. Prima Games · DSOGaming
The distinction matters: Steam’s disclosure describes what the store page says. It does not, by itself, establish what protections are in the game executable that ships to PC players.
Why was Denuvo removed?
No public explanation was included in the October 5 reporting. The available information does not establish whether the change reflects a decision by Amazon Game Studios or the developers, or whether it was a page error. It also does not support attributing the change to performance, licensing costs, piracy, preorder plans, or community pressure.

Prima Games described player scrutiny and concerns about possible performance effects as community context, not as a confirmed cause. No game-specific performance benchmark or official statement linking those concerns to the listing change was cited.
Is Denuvo still on the Steam page?
The Steam page capture available to the reporting still showed “Incorporates 3rd-party DRM: Denuvo Anti-tamper,” but that capture was crawled before the October reports. It therefore conflicts with the later account of the page change without settling what the live page says now. Check the Steam listing for its current wording; a listing could also change again.

Will the PC release launch without Denuvo?
That is not confirmed. A missing disclosure does not prove Denuvo will be absent from the shipped PC build, and the reporting allows that the label could have been removed by mistake or restored later. No official announcement in the reviewed coverage specifies the game’s final DRM configuration.
