SteamDB’s September 2026 release filter puts five games at the front of its retrieved user-review ranking: Touhou Koumakyou: New Classic – the Embodiment of Scarlet Devil, Valheim, Master Of Pottery, Welcome to Elderfield and Drag’n Wash. Their filtered-table ratings range from 94.13% to 89.04%.
Four are marked Steam Deck Verified. Master Of Pottery is marked Playable, with a text-entry caveat. These are review and compatibility snapshots—not sales figures, player-count rankings or guarantees of frame rate and battery life.

How this September 2026 shortlist was made
The ranking uses SteamDB’s user-review percentage for games shown by its 2026 table with a September 2026 release filter. SteamDB reports 100 matching products but warns that filtered results may omit some products, so this is a sourced shortlist rather than a definitive list of every September release.

SteamDB’s individual page for Touhou Koumakyou: New Classic recorded a 93.86% rating when accessed, rather than the 94.13% shown in the filtered table. Ratings can move as more reviews arrive, so the table’s percentage is the appropriate figure for this particular ranking while the page-level number illustrates why snapshots may differ.
What the Steam Deck labels actually tell you
Valve displays compatibility information in the Steam store and library to help people decide whether a game is suitable for Deck. Valve describes the system this way: “When you visit your Library on Steam Deck, you’ll automatically see the compatibility rating of each game, indicating the kind of experience you can expect when playing.”
Verified
Verified means the game met Valve’s reviewed criteria for the Deck experience at the time it was assessed. It is not a promise of a particular frame rate, graphics preset, battery runtime or performance in every later build.

- 512GB NVMe SSD, 16GB LPDDR5 on-board RAM (5500 MT/s quad 32-bit channels), microSD UHS-I supports SD, SDXC and SDHC
- 6 nm AMD APU, CPU: Zen 2 4c/8t, 2.4-3.5GHz (up to 448 GFlops FP32
Playable
Playable means the game works on Deck but has one or more noted qualifications. For Master Of Pottery, SteamDB says the game performs well overall, while text entry may require you to manually invoke the on-screen keyboard. That is a usability qualification, not a claim that the game is unplayable.
Why a label can change
Valve’s review process is ongoing. A game can receive a different rating after a software update, a change to the Deck operating system or the addition of new Deck features. Check the current store or library badge before purchasing or installing, especially if the label is important to your decision.
What each game offers
Touhou Koumakyou: New Classic – the Embodiment of Scarlet Devil
At 94.13% in the filtered table, this bullet-hell remake leads the retrieved September group. Its Verified badge makes it the clearest choice here for players who want the highest review percentage without a listed Deck compatibility caveat. The separate page-level rating of 93.86% shows that the number is time-sensitive.
Rank #3
- Operating System: SteamOS 3.0
Valheim
Valheim’s 93.15% rating combines a strong September ranking with the reach of an established survival/action audience. SteamDB lists it as Verified. The rating reflects user sentiment, while the Deck badge reflects Valve’s compatibility checks; neither should be read as a sales or player-count measurement.
Master Of Pottery
This is the group’s most relaxed simulation pick, with a 92.74% rating. It is Playable rather than Verified. If the game asks for typed text, be prepared to open the Deck’s on-screen keyboard yourself instead of assuming every text field will appear automatically.
Welcome to Elderfield
The RPG, adventure and farming-sim combination sits at 89.22% and is marked Verified. SteamDB records a Deck test timestamp of 25 August 2026, which identifies when that compatibility check was logged, not a permanent guarantee for every future update.
Rank #4
- Valve is entering the gaming console marketplace with the new Steam Deck, a console geared towards PC gamers. The Steam Deck can be docked to a monitor, and used as a PC, or docked to a TV.
- Players can play a huge variety of games at any time with the comfort of a console and the freedom of a PC. Not anti-glare screen.
- Like the name suggests, the Steam Deck will include upgraded 1TB storage, and will include a carrying case. A micro SD slot will also enable expanded storage.
- Valve partnered with AMD to create a specialized APU optimized for handheld gaming, and Valve says the chip will deliver performance to run AAA gaming titles.
- The Steam Deck is outfitted with a 7-inch touchscreen, and two trackpads under the control sticks that allow gamers to operate games never designed outside of mouse and keyboard capabilities.
Drag’n Wash
Drag’n Wash has an 89.04% rating and a Verified badge. SteamDB records a 14 September 2026 test timestamp. As with every compatibility result, that timestamp describes the review snapshot rather than promising identical behavior after subsequent patches.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How to use the list when choosing a game
- Start with the type of game you want. Choose bullet hell for Touhou, survival/action for Valheim, a creative simulation for Master Of Pottery, an RPG-farming mix for Welcome to Elderfield or a cleaning simulation for Drag’n Wash.
- Use the percentage as a sentiment signal. A higher number means a more positive user-review ratio in this filtered SteamDB table; it does not establish superior sales, longevity or hardware performance.
- Read the Deck label separately. Four entries are Verified, while Master Of Pottery is Playable with the text-input qualification. Compatibility and review percentage answer different questions.
- Recheck before installing. Valve can revise ratings as games and Deck software change, and SteamDB’s filtered results may not include every qualifying September product.
Bottom line for September 2026
For the highest user-review percentage in the retrieved September filter, choose Touhou Koumakyou: New Classic. Valheim is the established survival/action option, Master Of Pottery is the standout with a known text-entry caveat, and Welcome to Elderfield and Drag’n Wash offer Verified Deck support in their respective RPG-farming and cleaning-simulation niches. Treat the ratings as a dated user-opinion snapshot and the Deck badges as evolving compatibility metadata, not interchangeable performance scores.
