The Library phone code is 3890*. First find the Rotary Dial in the Basement and the Telephone Book Page in the last Prison cell. Fit the dial to the phone, use the page’s clues, and enter the code to open a nearby painting and collect the Jade Disc.
Where to find the rotary dial and phone clue
Rotary Dial: Basement
Reach the Basement through the Torture Museum. The Rotary Dial is on a table there. The Library telephone cannot be used until you attach this missing part. PowerPyx’s walkthrough also identifies the dial’s location.
Telephone Book Page: Prison
Find the Telephone Book Page in the last Prison cell. It contains the clues needed to work out the number; the solution draws on lines printed on both sides of the page. GameSpew’s telephone-puzzle walkthrough describes the clue and its connection to the code.
How to solve the Library phone puzzle
- Collect the Rotary Dial from the table in the Basement, reached through the Torture Museum.
- Collect the Telephone Book Page from the last Prison cell.
- Return to the Library and attach the Rotary Dial to the telephone.
- Inspect the page and combine the clues on its two sides. Dial 3890*.

What the phone code unlocks
Entering 3890* opens a nearby painting and reveals the Jade Disc. This item continues progression through the Jade disc puzzle. Walkthroughs describe combining it with a Jade Ornament or Jade Cross, then pressing right, down, left, right, right to align the discs into a complete square. Item names vary between walkthroughs, so follow the name shown in your game.
