How many achievements are in Tormented Souls 2?
Steam lists 33 achievements for Tormented Souls 2. The Xbox store also confirms Xbox achievement support for its Xbox Series X|S edition, but the available platform listings do not confirm that Xbox or PlayStation achievement and trophy lists match Steam. Check the list on the platform you play before planning a completion route.

Do you need to play on Tormented difficulty?
For every Steam achievement, the list includes separate completion achievements for Assisted, Standard, and Tormented difficulties. That means a player seeking all Steam achievements must satisfy each of those three listed difficulty conditions. The list does not establish whether one difficulty run can also fulfill another, whether difficulty can be changed during a run, or what the exact unlock rules are beyond the stated completion conditions.

Amnesia is a separate no-save challenge and is explicitly unavailable on Assisted difficulty. Do not plan to combine it with an Assisted completion.
How to approach the challenge achievements
Four achievements impose a restriction on the full-game run: Ranger bans map use, Anxiety sets a sub-five-hour completion condition, Untouchable limits health-item use to one, and Amnesia requires finishing without saving. Steam’s list does not say whether these restrictions can be combined, whether a pause affects the time condition, or whether any other actions invalidate a run.

- Ranger: Avoid using the map for the entire completion run.
- Anxiety: Finish in less than five hours; exactly five hours does not meet the stated “under five hours” condition.
- Untouchable: Use only one health item across the run, as phrased by Steam.
- Amnesia: Finish without saving; Assisted difficulty is excluded.
Because the cited list does not establish checkpoint, chapter-select, or missability rules, it cannot confirm whether a missed collectible or puzzle can be recovered without starting over. Likewise, it does not establish the minimum number of runs. Treat those as unresolved planning details rather than guaranteed route facts.
Collection, puzzle, and combat cleanup
Beyond story and challenge runs, the list calls for all weapons, all diary entries, every combination-key puzzle, and upgrades to all weapons. Combat-related goals include defeating 40, 80, and 120 enemies, as well as killing an enemy with a trap and creating the nailer. These are distinct listed requirements; the achievement names alone do not establish whether progress carries between runs.

Platform notes and unlock reliability
The Steam store describes full controller support and recommends playing with a controller, but does not make a controller a requirement. The Xbox listing identifies an Xbox Series X|S edition with Xbox achievements. The available evidence does not confirm PlayStation trophy grades, a platinum trophy route, or list differences between platforms.
A Steam Community announcement search result reported an achievement-fix update for achievements that had failed to unlock during gameplay, with a staggered rollout.
