The plot involves a hostile computer virus exploiting secured satellite and communications systems, a defecting officer, and Raven’s attempt to reach an underground complex. A November 2003 walkthrough lays out three central mission objectives: get inside the complex, obtain a copy of the virus, and replace a motherboard with one carrying a homing beacon.
How does the gameplay work?
The game combines exploration, inventory use, and environmental and logic puzzles. The walkthrough describes keyboard movement, mouse control for changing the camera view, and an action key. Players select and use inventory items to interact with the surroundings; rooms, mechanisms, and clues recorded in a notebook are important to making progress.

- Engaging tactile, logic, and environmental puzzles move the story forward
- Set in an ancient Babylonian location with more than 30 chambers and rooms
Development accounts say the game’s design drew inspiration from cryptography and Babylonian history. A secondary account also reports that designer Nigel Papworth advocated for real-time 3D rather than pre-rendered visuals, and that the team licensed Gamebryo. These are historical development details, not a statement about current technical support.
Are the puzzles difficult?
One retrospective review at UHS Hints found the puzzle ideas promising but criticized some notebook clues as cryptic. The reviewer also described timed sections as restrictive, leaving little time to explore and sometimes requiring repeated attempts. That is one reviewer’s assessment; it should not be read as a consensus rating or a firsthand evaluation by this article.
In a 2005 interview, designer Nigel Papworth explained his approach to timed challenges: “I have always disliked challenges where an arbitrary time restriction is present, so I try to design any time based puzzle so that the ‘ticking clock’ is an integral part of the mechanism.”

That confirms the historical format, not whether copies are currently in stock, complete, or available through any particular retailer or digital store.
Can it run on a modern Windows PC?
Current compatibility and digital availability have not been established, and no official current support or storefront page was identified. Adventure’s Planet listed these requirements for a 2004 demo:
- Operating system: Windows 98, Me, 2000, or XP
- Processor: 700 MHz
- Memory: 128 MB RAM
- Video memory: 64 MB
- Disk space: 700 MB
Those figures apply to the demo’s published requirements, not necessarily the retail game. They describe an older Windows environment and do not guarantee that either the demo or retail CD-ROM will work on a current PC.
