What did the developer announce about Steam Deck support?
In a Steam Community update titled “Steam Deck Support Update,” published on Oct. 6, 2026, Truckful’s developer said it had been testing the game on Steam Deck since its 2024 announcement and had showcased demos on the handheld at PAX East and PAX West. The developer reported a steady 60 fps on high settings through most of the game. That figure is the developer’s report; it was not independently measured here. The Steam store listing observed for this report displayed “Steam Deck Compatibility: Unknown,” despite the developer’s stated goal of verification at launch. The store status can change, so check the listing’s current compatibility information before buying on the assumption that the game is Verified. Check Truckful’s Steam listing.

What performance does the developer expect on lower-end hardware?
The developer’s announcement says Truckful was optimized for Linux-based handhelds and lower-end hardware. It forecasts 30 fps at high details on lower-end devices that meet the game’s official requirements. This is an expectation from the developer, not a benchmark or a guarantee for every device or configuration.

Steam describes Truckful as a single-player delivery adventure. Players drive an old pickup through countryside valleys, deliver goods to villagers, and uncover a mystery surrounding an ancient forest. The Steam listing gives an Oct. 9, 2026 release date, three days after the developer’s Steam Deck update. It also lists full controller support and recommends playing with a controller.
