Trukz was a text-oriented browser game about working as a truck driver: players created a driver, bought a truck, chose a cargo route, and earned in-game money for deliveries. It is no longer available. A historical forum archive reports that the game’s final day was January 31, 2011, though that date comes from a secondary archive rather than a current official announcement.
What was Trukz?
Trukz was a persistent, browser-based trucking simulation. A 2007 forum post reproduces wording attributed to the game’s About page, describing it as “a trucking simulation game” and “a text based game” about hauling goods across North America. Because the original page is not available here, that description is best treated as historical text preserved by a player forum, not as current official copy. Another archived description characterizes Trukz as a game about an independent truck driver carrying cargo between cities in Europe and the United States. It says players could use their in-game earnings to access trucks and equipment, and could create or join companies. How did Trukz play?
The basic loop was about making decisions around a driver, truck, cargo, and route—not steering a vehicle in a real-time, first-person driving simulation. The 2007 forum post says players created a driver, purchased a truck, selected a route, and delivered goods on time to get paid. The archived directory adds that players could develop their in-game operation through equipment and company options.

- Choose a route and haul cargo between cities.
- Complete deliveries to earn in-game money.
- Use available earnings and company features to develop the operation.

Can you still play Trukz?
No current playable version is established by the surviving sources. MMOFacts marks the game “No longer available!” A historical discussion archive reports January 31, 2011 as Trukz’s final day; since that date is preserved in a secondary forum archive, it should be understood as a reported closure date, not a recently confirmed announcement. Is Truckz Simulator the same game?
No source reviewed establishes that the current Truckz Simulator site is a revival, official replacement, or continuation of Trukz. The names are similar, but the descriptions differ: the historical Trukz centered on a driver choosing routes and delivering cargo, while the current site describes persistent trucking-company management involving freight, drivers, equipment, maintenance, compliance, insurance, cash flow, and company growth. The available evidence does not establish shared ownership or code, so the two should not be presented as the same game.
