At the prices reported on October 9, 2026, two prebuilt gaming PCs paired an RTX 5070 with 32 GB of memory and a 1 TB SSD for $1,699.99. The key difference is the balance: Skytech gives you a Core i7-14700F with DDR4, while MSI’s Codex R2 uses a Core i5-14400F with DDR5. Neither is an automatic winner—the right choice depends on which part of that trade-off matters more to you, and whether the listings still match those prices and configurations.

How to choose between the CPU and memory trade-off
Choose the Skytech if you prefer its listed CPU
The Skytech’s Core i7-14700F is the higher-tier named processor in this pairing. That may make its configuration more appealing if you place greater weight on the CPU choice for your games or other workloads. However, the deal comparison supplies no head-to-head benchmarks, so it does not establish a frame-rate advantage or quantify how the systems perform in particular games.
Choose the MSI if you prefer DDR5
The MSI Codex R2 ships with DDR5, while the Skytech configuration uses DDR4. Both have 32 GB, so the distinction here is memory generation, not stated capacity. The MSI also uses the Core i5-14400F, the lower-tier named CPU in this comparison. The available information does not establish that DDR5 makes the MSI faster overall or how large any performance difference would be.

Check the exact listing before buying
At the same reported price, the decision is about which configuration you would rather own—not a demonstrated performance winner. Before ordering, confirm the retailer’s live price and stock, and make sure the listing matches the CPU, memory generation and capacity, RTX 5070, and 1 TB SSD described here. The deal report does not compare warranty or return terms, so check those directly with the seller as well.
Also avoid assuming either PC has a particular upgrade path. The available comparison does not provide complete motherboard, memory-slot, or compatibility details; consult the exact product listing or manufacturer documentation if future upgrades are part of your decision.
